Now you're suggesting that this enhancement channel designed to "ease the burden" for five channels is going to be mixed into only two channels along with the rest of the audio? I don't think so. Want to hear this in the real world? Compare the 2.0 Superman mix with the 5.1 mix when the Krypton dome opens. The 5.1 has more low end.
It doesn't seem like you realize that the other five channels are full-range and not lacking in bass. The LFE is a supplement and not all of the bass, that's why it's easily ignored.
