Mosfilm does a lot of 4K restorations. And even releases them on YouTube, though I don't know what's available outside of russia. I've made a list for myself what's in 4k on their YouTube

The Son has a new 4K restoration from Janus (so does Rosetta).

Maybe CC can license The Child from Sony and release it and The Son at the same time. Similar to what they did for La promesse and Rosetta all those years ago.

I've spent quite a bit of bucks recently so I'm only going for three. Plus I still have my $10 coupon from the Citizen Kane fiasco so that'll be a pretty decent deal.

Keep in mind that they often just upload them in 4K (presumably for the better bitrate youtube will offer), despite not coming from a 4K restoration, so many of those are probably not from 4K restorations.

Thanks to everyone mentioning codes. I guess I forget about my codes they send out for subscribing to The Criterion Channel, so I scoured my emails and found $30. I’m planning on picking up these three:

I was gonna go hard today but decided I should be "financially smart" and hold off on a few titles for later in the year. Just gonna grab WALL-E 4k, Fire Walk With Me, Room With a View, and All That Jazz. I was gonna do Inland Empire and Lost Highway 4k too, but the latter isn't urgent since I already have a blu of it and the former seems like such a risky blind buy I might try to track it down to watch before the next flash sale just to make sure I want it lol

I believe Fire Walk with Me is getting a 4K release internationally, so I would assume a 4K upgrade through Criterion is in the cards for the near future.

Some of my favorite early Hitchcock that have avoided me thus far.

Henri-Georges Clouzot is always a high quality addition. I haven't seen this one in years, but I remember absolutely loving it.

One of my absolute favorite movies by Howard Hawks, a filmmaker seemingly in danger of being forgotten.

Good John Huston. A quality addition to the collection.

My favorite David Lean film, and a perfect example of the kind of filmmaker he was before he started making epics. Now we just need good releases of stuff like Hobson's Choice and Passionate Friends.
