United Kingdom Lost s1 and s2 HMV price WTF!!!

I popped into HMV today to check out Lost on Blu-Ray and was shocked at the price - £68.00 each season I thought thr RRP was only £60 so don't know how they can bunk it up by £8. Other than places like Amazon and Play who are selling them for the £45-55 price area has anybody found them really cheap maybe in the high thirties price, can't find them in Asda.

You can import them from Amazon.com for a total of £52 as long as you order before July 16th and get the $20 off discount.

That's what I've done, hopefully I don't have to pay extra charges.

HMV in store has always been a rip off. I look in there for the odd deal incase there is one but I never shop in there.

I tried via Amazon but I'll be charged around $110 with 14day shipping but that is for both of them so I can't see how I can get em for £52 and there's no mention of $20 discount.

I meant £53, not £52.

It's $107 and then the $20 is taken off at the checkout, which comes to $87/£53.

HMV are taking the piss even more now, since there is virtually no competition. Zavvi going to the wall was a bad thing for us customers.

HMVs pricing is a joke at the moment, the last time i was in they wanted £30 for WALL-E, they had the Kill Bill box set for £50 but were selling them seperate for £ 18 each!!!!!!!!!!!

Previous comments are right, they have no highstreet competition, Zavvi and Woolworths both gone, only ASDA beat them on price but only carry a limited stock.

Online shopping for Blu-ray is really the only option

The HMV high street stores are always ridiculously overpriced and I don't see why when there is clear competition of online stores and supermarkets who are clearly cheaper.

I remember buying the 2 for £30 offer in my local HMV, but to buy one of the titles separately it was £27

Perhaps they charge more money because of the fact they have to stock a wide selection and so the prices are higher in order to maintain the titles they are able to have in stock?? Still, I hope you manage to find them at a suitable price.

I think the prices are too much right now, but I'm still going to get them soon, just wish I could find a shop which has Season 1,2 and 4 for a reasonable price somewhere.

What's the cheapest price you guys can find for the first two season's on blu-ray?

Season 1: £44.93 at TheHut, LoveFilm & Currys Entertainment.

Season 2: £47.98 at Amazon UK

Season 4: £39.95 at MyMemory

Can be found for slightly cheaper on sites like Amazon New/Used section, PlayTrade, possibly more?

Does anybody know of any cheaper sites yet?

Apart from the Amazon.com deal which I posted above, I think those are the cheapest at the moment. Nearly £50 for season 2 of Lost? No way would I pay that...

Upon viewing the blu-ray of LOST Season 1 the first time, I can only say it is amazing, this is what blu-ray is for, one of the best blu-ray I have ever seen.

I got Lost Season 1 & 2 togethor from axelmusic.com from america for £82 with P&P . If i got it from Play it would of cost £96 so a saving of £14 to put towards another blu-ray .It's a shame that Lost season 3 was't region free as well

Only Region 1 & 2 imports are region free, the rest won't be.

I now have Season 1,2 and am waiting for 4 to show up.

Season 3 will be released around 11th December 2009.
