At the time it was a combination of poor sales and very few having completed HD masters ready to go.

Under StudioCanal's recent remastering campaign, they had completed new restorations for the Carry Ons they own. ITV recently completed 2k remasters of the Rank produced films and Network has released some of them in the UK.

Carry on Emmannuelle, produced and distributed by Hemdale, was distributed by Carlton at some point but later got into a legal whirlpool between the Peter Rogers estate and Euro London Films (who owns the early Hemdale catalog).

The compilation film That's Carry On (with footage from the AA and Rank films) had a rights dispute between ITV and StudioCanal. Released by EMI and later on DVD by Carlton in the UK, it's possible ITV owns UK distribution rights while StudioCanal owns the rest.

The last film, Carry on Columbus, was handed around to several distributors but is now controlled by MGM worldwide (MGM owns the catalog of producer Island World, through the Orion Pictures acquisition).
