I think it was that and then a post from Brad about acquiring some old Code Red titles as well.

I think some of the questions discussing Messiah of Evil started around page 23 (standard posts per page, post #459).

I do a lot more in this industry/life than re-releasing films. I’m a screenwriter and filmmaker as well that has been grinding for years. There’s a lot of stuff that I want to do with Messiah Of Evil and a lot of stuff in the works with it, too. That said, re-releasing the film isn’t in the cards at the moment.

Yeah, between the picture in the tweet and then one of your replies saying it (the pic) was a big hint, had a lot of people, myself included, hoping for a good MoE release from TV or something. I hope something happens with Messiah of Evil from someone. This year is the 50th anniversary and I’d love a UHD or something better than what’s out there at present.

Gotcha, wasn't sure which is why I had asked, appreciate the clarification! Looking forward to anything you do happen to do with MoE as it's excellent!

Messiah Of Evil is a very complicated film with the rights and whatnot. Most of the material is missing and has been bootlegged to death because it's thought to be in PD (it isn't). I'm trying to secure many rights with things surrounding Messiah Of Evil at the moment but it's taken years already to get where I wanted to be with it.

To be fair, the picture I tweeted and what I said didn't point to a home video release. Literally said something along the lines of having this in my head since I was a kid - don't think re-releasing films on Blu-ray was on my checklist at 12 years old.

I remember Bill saying part of the negative was missing too.

That movie was is one of the reasons I exist. I found a VHS at a flea market when I was a little kid (probably 10 or so) - I think it was Woodhaven Entertainment tape that I found, and it looked weird to begin with. The transfer was horrid, but it gave the film more of a fever dream filled looked and that made it even more uneasy for me, I think. I watched it that evening and it changed me for sure - even though I grew up watching all sorts of things, Messiah Of Evil felt a little different. Been obsessed ever since.

So I feel I owe (sounds dumb out loud) the film a lot and whatever I can do with it - I will. I've been working on a few things with it and only one thing so far has fallen into place which I've been working with Stephen and Willard on for a bit now.

Got a couple others things in the background and we shall see what happens.

My father got me into horror and he told me about this movie and I had never seen it. A few years back my local Drive in played that as part of its marathon. Also got to see Malatestas Carnival of Blood there and both of those became favorites. Messiah of Evil is on another level, it showcases a mood and dread most other horror movies would kill to have.

I would love to see Blu-ray releases of TV series such as Thunder In Paradise (1994), Red Shoe Diaries (1992-1999), Pacific Blue (1996-2000) and Passion and Romance (1997).
In addition to Bliss (an early-noughties series) that I suggested for a Blu-ray release in this thread recently, a mid-to-late nineties anthology series called Women: Stories of Passion and the films Another 9 1/2 Weeks and Lake Consequence (the latter film starring Joan Severance).

I do hope some of TV's 200+ licensed films to come include multiple vampire films. Was just posting in the VS thread about the small vampiric output of VS in their entire history. I just rewatched the underrated Graveyard Shift (1987) in shit quality yesterday and would love to see something like that in HD. Independently produced/owned as far as I could tell. Also Blood and Donuts is another.

I’ve been wanting the TV movie Nightmare on the 13th Floor (1990) for a while now. I’m not sure it’s even been given a legit DVD release. Other USA Network movies that I want in my collection would be Trilogy of Terror 2 and Trucks.

Not sure if any of these are possible but there have been other USA Network movies that have been put out on blu-ray, like Buried Alive and Strays.

We have a few vampire flicks coming from TV.

GS is not independently owned and neither is its sequel. Rights are murky.

I've been talking to Nightmare on the 13th Floor people for a bit, but nothing has really progressed with them. USA Network stuff is a case-by-case basis and kind of messy at times.

Would love to do Lake Consequence and it is available but haven't pulled the trigger yet on it.

Trilogy of Terror 2 is still being sold by Kino Lorber.

I enjoyed AotKR, it's very short, but it didn't need to be longer, which a lot of other films need to learn from! The second feature was decent, but not as fun as AotKR. The extras on the disc are great too!

Got my order in for Linnea, and added the CD release of Basket Case/Brain Damage.

Brad,

I understand if CDs don't sell you can't offer them (though I didn't know about the Basket Case release until I accidentally stumbled on it going to buy Horror Workout, so that may be part of it), but would it perhaps be possible to offer lossless downloads? I will never buy cassettes nor vinyl, but I would definitely pay for lossless downloads. (Although I would guess that would be even more licensing hassles.)

And since I am posting, just thought I would throw out there a couple of creature features I really enjoy that don't have domestic blu-rays:

This appears to ahve no blu-ray at all.
This had several German releases but most are OOP.
