I'll try this out when it hits GamePass. I liked the 'Street Fighter II' back in the day and enjoyed the 4th one; but since then, Capcom's approach to fighting games as a whole has been dreadful, we'll see if the new management can get things back on track.

Over the years the 'Street Fighter' series has been able to add some characters with memorable design (Juri is really cool), however the new characters here don't really grab me, they mostly look like generic Pixar characters. But I find this series' biggest weakness has always been a lack of characters I enjoy playing. Of the fighting games I play, it's probably the worst for that. My favorite is SoulCalibur, where, even though I have several mains, I actually enjoy playing as almost all the characters.

Anyway, what I've seen so far from this is neither here nor there for me. The visuals are well realized on a technical level, but lack some of the personality I've always loved about this series. The gameplay looks fine enough.

They've done so many of the new characters a disservice by having them be DLC. Most players will never experience them and bc of that they dont catch on

Rank your favorite Street Fighter Characters:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_o...ter_characters

Ken
Dee Jay
Ryu
Vega
Sagat
Fei Long
Cammy
Chun Li
Blanka
M. Bison
T. Hawk
Balrog
E. Honda
Guile
Dhalsim

I've played other versions with newer characters, but they don't seem to stand a real chance against the classics and don't have the impact most times. Hopefully this new game changes that.

Ken, overall, seems like the most effective character for me with his faster spin kick, flaming uppercut and strong kick impacts and range.

If I try the same kick attacks and timing with Dhalsim's long legs or Guile's pointed foot kicks, they just don't land most times and the enemy counters them. With Ken, the kicks land and are more effective. I often felt like the Street Fighter 2 games were rigged in that sense, or maybe I just need more practice.

I did read the CPU cheated many times, so there you go.
