Yes I know Toei does not do that because they still don’t seem to get the market here is not like the rest of the world.

Only way I could see anyone wanting to release it unless Toei is going to find a way to force CR to do it.

The show obviously does not work in NA. If it did Discotek would have sold enough copies of the movie collection to justify getting the series.

At this point I’m thinking the best we can hope for is a sub-par Blu-ray release from CR or Mill Creek and/or being able to buy it streaming.

I own it and the other DVD releases of the series from the other companies. I did my part. There is a lot of people that refuse to buy things even for $20 if they know they can’t get the rest. No I’m not saying it’s worth the chance like many seem to think.

I was just saying if it had a chance Crowdfunding would be the only way I could see it happening from a NA company.



Though I’ve seen it said before stuff would never happen and well I now own it on DVD or Blu-ray. No reason to not to have a little hope even if it’s highly unlikely.

Oh well it is what it is. Don’t really care to get in to this anymore as it’s a losing battle. So on to hoping for something good the next slate of releases.

Licensing movies as a test for a series is very fan-friendly and logical, and it's hard to fault them when something just doesn't sell enough.
A lot of times it's the movies that are hardest to find, but Discotek takes care of that first. If they can't get people to buy the movies then it makes no sense to try the series. I say this as someone who would absolutely buy the series.

Crowdfunding would be different as it'd allow a singular customer to contribute more. I'd be willing to spend $400+, but the most I could show my support for is a $20 bluray. The audience might not be huge here but I'm sure they're willing to shell out some big bucks. LotGH sold out a $800 limited edition release, we like spending stupid money.

I agree with psychopuppet, it'd seem like the most logical path.

Doesn't matter because it won't happen for the obvious reasons and not really worth getting bent out of shape over.

Watched Flying Phantom Ship earlier, don't know what I expected but it definitely wasn't Scooby-Doo vs. the Military Industrial Slurm Complex.

I watched the first two movies on disc 1 with no problems, however, when trying to watch the third, "Million Dollar Conspiracy," playback freezes at the 3:07 mark and returns to the main menu. Just to test, I tried playing the fourth movie and it skips ahead about an hour into it before playing. The first time I inserted the disc the menu loaded with no interactive options but that resolved itself by reloading the disc.

I haven't tried the disc in another player yet but will tomorrow. I just wanted to see if anyone else had successfully watched it through with no issues yet?

I watched all of the films on both discs with no issues.

I have a Sony BDPS3100 bd player from 2011.

Define "live". If you mean "presented live at Otakon", then yes. If you mean simulcasted live on Twitch, then no, it won't be, because as I've said before, the cell service in the panel rooms is just too weak to provide a good quality live feed. It'll still be live-tweeted roughly in sync with the panel as we've done that the last two years successfully, and you'll get far better quality out of the slides and video clips posted there than anything we could hope to try and stream.

I bought the DVDs. I didn't buy the blo-ray, because I didn't feel like buying the same thing in a different format a year later.

Love some Drama series too but I know those perform very poor here in sales.

Had to cancel Golgo 13 preorder cause of the Eureka announcement. Hopefully we'll see some sort of reviews on both. I don't see any specs on the Discotek release, however, that Eureka does look good with some good extras.
