More than likely you are experiencing motion enhancement. 120 hz tvs employ some form of enhancement software that tries to interpolate frames in between a frame to make the transition smoother. In some uses this can be nice such as sports, but for blu-ray and regular tv watching it sometimes misreads the image or delays leaving an artifact which is most likely what you are seeing.
Your Samsung uses Automotion i believe as its software. Try turning this down or off in your video settings when watching blu-ray. It doesn't turn off 120hz it just lowers the added enhancement hopefully removing the artifacts. Most members i belive do the same prefering to see the 24p in a unchanged format. Hope this helps Lavalamp |
