Yes, that's exactly what I was saying. I just don't want to invest in the newest Pioneer elite product only to find I could have spent 200-300 less and got the same machine without the word ELITE.

There are reports from people over at AVS that BB is closing out the Pioneer for $149 NIB and anywhere from $99-129 for open box units. That is a great price for a player that is almost identical to the 05 Elite model.

The only downside is that the 51 is slow loading BR's, and is not a profile 2.0 BD-Live compatible player, it that is important to you. I also believe the 320 and 23 aren't much quicker when it comes to load times.

I have both a Pioneer 51 and a 05 and boy do they do have outstanding PQ/AQ.

I have both the 320 and 51 and love both of them. PQ is awesome!
