![]() Die Another Day is nothing like the newer two James Bond Movies. The newer movies don't have a lot of gadgets, but they have good action and are more realistic then the many of the previous Bond Movies. You should at least give them a shot. |

If you "grew up" watching Brosnan as Bond then your childhood was already wrecked and you're too young to have an opinon that matters anyway. The only people who should be allowed to say that are those who've been alive since the beginning of Bond films.
Daniel Craig saved the series, yes, if you like cheesy, campy, gadget filled frivolity then maybe Moore is the right guy, and Brosnan for that matter. But I like my James Bond serious, occasionally witty and lethal. Craig looks like a guy that could kill you, Brosnan looks like a waiter. |

We need to get a poll going for this.... It's too bad people are prejudiced based on which bond they grew up with. I grew up watching Moore & Dalton and i definately wouldnt put them at the top. Here's my list...
1. Connery- Especially "from Russia with Love and Goldfinger". A cold killer but could also get the ladies. Connery is the reason there is a bond series. 2. Craig- I thought Casino Royale was great but Quantum kinda sucked. More physical than the other bonds but also more vulnerable emotionally. 3. Moore- His best were "spy who loved me" and "for your eyes only". Charming , but a lot of his movies are kinda silly. 4. Brosnan- Golden Eye was really good, Tomorrow never Dies was ok. The others sucked a big one. I think the gadgets were getting too out of hand when he came along. Brosnan also said he wished his bond could have been hurt more. ( he never seemed to be in any real danger) Also the CGI in those films was obvious. 5. Dalton- I like him as an actor but he didnt fill the suit out. He always looked too small and child like. Its too bad, i think he was mis-cast. He is definitely one of the most underrated actors. 6. Lazenby- Havent seen the one he did in a while but i remember it was pretty cheesy. the guy had kind of a big head and looked gorilla like. I hear he turned down the role after OHMSS because he was afraid of type casting. (thank god!) Well there it is! |

Hi! to all,
Good to see lots of different views on everyone's favourite Bond, I just have to say that I agree 100% with those of you that say Dalton was playing Bond in a hard style way before Craig, so I still find it really strange that Dalton is so underrated by so many people, I truly think he was a fantastic Bond and the only thing that went against him is that he only made just the two films, but the big difference to me between the Dalton Bond films and Craig's Bond films is that IMO the Dalton films feel like true Bond films, but Craig's films while good action films don't feel very Bond like to me. Finally, as for Moore, those of you that say his films are silly, fair enough, but personally I just don't agree, he made seven Bond films and I think only Moonraker was silly, I don't see much wrong with the other six films he done other than he started to look a little to old in his last couple of outing's, also when people say Moore joked around to much that's another thing I find strange because even Connery had plenty of silly one liners and jokey moments, you expect that in a Bond film, so why some people say Moore was to jokey as Bond I just don't get it to be honest. Cheers! JW |
