Yeah well an intense discussion on ownership and reposting of cover art without author's consent happened awhile back. I think it also deterred the few original cover artists that posted regularly away. Or maybe (on a more optimistic note) there just on a summer vacation. Hopefully more will come to fill the shoes of those that have stopped sharing artwork temporarily or permanently.

Well as an avid 2 for $25 BB buyer I must say that I greatly appreciate the work of the men and women in this thread. Making these customs help me out so much with keeping my blu's nice and neat, and most of the time I like the customs SOOOO much better than the crap the studio's put out.

Anybody thinking bout a TMNT cover? As that should be coming soon and will probably be in some kind of dumb packaging. Just a thought. But again thanks... and I will be stopping buy BB today so I will probably have a request later tonite. Hopefully Zack and Miri and something else!

Updated the list, went well over the 30000 character limit per post so I had to split the compendium of custom covers into three separate posts at the top of the thread.

BPM - You have a typo on your post that lists all your blu-series sets, National Treasure is incorrect.

BPM & Bartlett - If you add covers to your sites please post at least the titles of the newly added blu-ray replacement covers within this thread. It is simply too hard for me to browse individual sites to make sure that everything is up to date. That goes for individual titles, sets, custom cover series, etc etc. I have used the same link for all your works (to your respective site) so the user must go then find the actual cover on that page or further down in a specific album.

All: Thanks for sharing.

Trean the list looks good. Thanks for the update.

I just got back from my newest BBV store in Lowell and finally picked up Zack and Miri Make a Porno and Role Models, so I was wondering if anyone had any custom or scanned covers of these. I would greatly appreciate it, thank you for all the hard work you do!

Is there any chance that you'd share an empty template for the series, to allow others to substitute their own graphics to make covers that match the set? (if not, no probs - I understand. A lot of time and effort has clearly gone into them, and it'd suck to have others take credit for it).

It would be possible but only as an Adobe Illustrator file. The images on the cover are in several layers and thus could not work as a standard PDF. I decided to use Illustrator for my Blu-Series because it would be much easier to replace the images for each cover than it would in Photoshop.

I have however already created 59 covers as requests for others and would be more than willing to do more ... Just as another thought!

I'm glad my work is appreciated, I'm always happy to share!

BPMFORD- I was looking at your custom covers and noticed one thing I would like to suggest. On your "Notebook" cover with the drawing effect on the cover, the summary on the back dosen't read well. I think you could turn a great piece into an amazing one by shifting the two photos at the top towards the spine so the text dosen't get separated and flows well. Just a suggestion and I think it looks fantastic otherwise! I hope you welcome constructive criticism.

If you're willing to share the Illustrator file, that'd be great! And as I said earlier, if not, no probs at all - I'll probably place some requests . I've printed a few already - I love the nice, clean uniform look it gives the discs on the shelf.

Thanks man,

I had originally wanted to do that with the cover but the graphic that I used for the frames and the flower textures behind the text are all one image. In order to move the frames, I would have to separate those images, and fill in the spaces on the background, that I why I didn't do it.

I will play with it to see what is possible!

Hey,

The problem I have with making my template available is for the same reasons why dv8pdx and Craig02 aren't around as much any more; I fear that my template will be grabbed, chopped up, claimed as another's creation if anyone can use it. Unfortunately there is no way for me to tag it with my signature or lock the current contents from being altered, so I have no control on what others do with it. I have reason to trust most of the members here, but as most of us know, there are other sites that love taking other's work without naming names (9covers...oops!).

I may just feel safer doing requests, as I love doing them. Then I will also be able to keep adding to my massive 160 cover site that I already have!

Hope this makes sense!

You have a post listing titles that you have completed. I am just saying that rather than only updating the old post (which you will do since you link in your sig) could you also place in a new post what the new titles are. It doesn't matter which series they are in, blu-series or not. Basically I don't want to have to do a comparison versus your site or versus the older thread post you have linked and I assume keep up to date to see if I still have all your custom covers listed. It will allow me to continue reading through the threads new posts only.

Sounds Good Trean...

After going through your list, i believe the only ones you don't have are my last few:

Freedom - 1 to 4 (Single cases) (Blu-Series)
Waltz With Bashir (Blu-Series)
Watchmen (Blu-Series)
