WHAT!!?? SERIOUSLY?? Dude I am so excited about this, I've always wanted to see the incredibles and toy story on the big screen all my life, my all time favorite films, but theaters around me that show older movies never ever show disney films. This is a dream come true.

Here is the schedule for the re-releases:

Quote:
Their first theatrical rerelease is the swashbuckling adventure movie Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (July 7 to July 20). Then, they will rerelease Toy Story (July 21 to August 3), the animated movie that started Pixar off with a bang. Afterward, we have the animated musicals Frozen (August 4 to August 17) and Beauty and the Beast (August 18 to August 31).
Following those will be the Pixar superhero movie The Incredibles (September 1 to September 14), followed by their fantasy movie Coco (September 15 to September 28). The last two movies will be their famous 1994 animated movie The Lion King (September 29 to October 12) and their musical Moana (October 13 to October 26).

Since the new movies are bombing let's go back to the well and re-release the movies that people actually liked!

Re-release just like in the old days. Worked back before VHS may work again!

What? No classic old school Little Mermaid re-release? Are all we gonna get this year is original Ariel, oh I mean Chelesa in Ruby Gilmore?

Didn't The Little Mermaid jump start the Disney Animation renaissance?

Yeah, I was initially excited that TLM might be included. It's the only one from the Renaissance I didn't see in theaters as a child, which is a shame since it's my favorite Disney film.

B&tB, Frozen, and TLK are the three I'd like to see. The Incredibles is still a great movie, but both it and the first Toy Story look rough these days. 3D never ages well, imo. I'm surprised PIXAR hasn't begun "restoring" those older films with new models, re-built backgrounds, and so on. Especially with those two films, they have new character models already made thanks to recent sequels.

No Walt films. I'd go to Sleeping Beauty or Song of the South.

So sorry! I had meant to post the schedule earlier but it slipped my mind.

Here it is

Quote:

When wily Captain Barbossa (Geoffrey Rush) steals Jack Sparrow's (Johnny Depp) ship and kidnaps the governor's beautiful daughter, Elizabeth (Keira Knightley), her childhood friend Will Turner (Orlando Bloom) joins forces with Jack to save her and recapture Jack's ship, the Black Pearl.

Toy Story — July 21st-August 3rd

Welcome to an astonishing world where toys play while their owners are away. Meet Woody (voice of Tom Hanks), Buzz Lightyear (voice of Tim Allen) and all their friends in an adventure filled with humor, heart and friendship.

Frozen — August 4th-August 17th

Fearless optimist Anna (voice of Kristen Bell) teams up with rugged mountain man Kristoff (voice of Jonathan Groff) in a race to find Anna's sister Elsa (voice of Idina Menzel), whose icy powers have trapped the kingdom of Arendelle in eternal winter.

Beauty and the Beast — August 18th-August 31st

Embark on an epic adventure with Belle (voice of Paige O'Hara), Beast (voice of Robby Benson), and all the characters you love with the music you'll never forget.

The Incredibles — September 1st-September 14th

As Mr. Incredible and Elastigirl, Bob (voice of Craig T. Nelson) and his wife Helen (voice of Holly Hunter) were among the world's greatest crime fighters. But fifteen years after their glory days, they have been forced to adopt civilian identities and live "normal" lives with their three kids. Itching to get back into action, they get their chance when a mysterious communication summons Bob to a remote island.

Coco — September 15th-September 28th

In Disney•Pixar's extraordinary adventure, a boy who dreams of becoming a great musician embarks on a journey to uncover the mysteries behind his ancestors' stories and traditions.

The Lion King — September 29th-October 12th

Embark on an extraordinary coming-of-age adventure as Simba, a lion cub (voice of Jonathan Taylor Thomas) who cannot wait to be king (Matthew Broderick), searches for his destiny in the great "Circle of Life."

Moana — October 13th-October 26th

Moana (Auliʻi Cravalho) sets sail on a daring mission to save her people. Along the way, she meets the mighty demigod Maui (Dwayne Johnson) – together they cross the ocean on a fun-filled, action-packed voyage from Walt Disney Animation Studios

The Little Mermaid had a full week in theaters a year or two before the pandemic. It was some "Disney Princess" thing. I was glad I got to see it. They also played Beauty and the Beast that month, but I missed it because of a weather event and the theater losing power. So cool that it's back again.

Do you have AMC A-List or Regal Unlimited? They are probably included in those

No. My method of dumpster diving for DMI codes and redeeming them for gift cards and theater codes usually pays off through lol
