Ok I've read some articles online and posts from fans and

1. The ending of Season 8 when Keen is dying there are shots of Keen holding Agnes, Keen's mother holding her and then Red holding Keen as she is dying all intercut as a montage. This is suppose to be a clue.

2. This line from the series finale: Agnes said “You’re acting like a mother, Pinky” and Red responded “I guess I can’t help it.”


As has been speculated for a long time and it's a real twist, Red is Katarina Rostova Keen's mother and underwent sex change surgery to become a man.

I did catch this, and it did make me wonder... but still, that is way too big of a loose end to be kept ambiguous to me anyway. Oh well lol
