It appears to have every frame of footage that exists for Game of Death presented in shooting order given all the possible context that is known. Then it follows it up with by far the best, most complete, and most faithful construction of the footage into what it might have looked like in the final film, had it been finished. It never pretends to be the definitive Bruce Lee vision and acknowledges that how the movie could have ended up and what footage (if any) would have been used is not really known, but I can't imagine it ever being better than what is presented.

With so many of the participants still alive and active though. I do wonder what could still be learnt from interviews with them, Probably not a lot, given it was a few days of work for them 50 years ago. Still, Yuen Wah was in the Game of Death footage that was shot outside, does he know the context of it? if it was camera tests or for the film? and what I'd give for someone to get an interview with James Tien now.

How was the voice acting in the reconstruction? I've never heard of any of the VAs before so I'm curious to how they pull it off.

I'm no expert but I went in with fairly low expectations since it was done for a Blu-ray release but I thought it was pretty decent. I think it feels authentic to the style of voice acting of the time without going over the top and sounding like a caricature or comedic.

What about the sound quality as a whole? As far as I know they used GH-era sound effects.

If that's how Arrow are sending these out, I'm going to go with HMV or Amazon.

It can be a bit of a crapshoot whoever you buy from, but I trust HMV more over Arrow themselves or Zavvi.
Definitely getting that sinking feeling now, as much as I'm trying to let this stuff go, but for this price... these packages should be hurricane proof.

It mentions that they do before the start of it. Similarly to the VO, to my amateur ears, it straddled the line of being good quality and sounding authentic to the time. I expected it might sound too "modern" but I thought it was great.

now looking at that yellow I want that one though I've ordered the red. don't get me wrong the graphics style in line with what old school kung-fu movies use to use . I love the covers on the theatrical cuts but seeing the white ones they seen kinda drab having seen the boxes. but it looks like with the yellow being repetitive to a certain degree seems to be cohesive in its entirety.

Are these discs encoded at 23.976 or 24 fps?

I'm not gonna do it, but I feel like someone needs to make an edit of that first video set to Goodbye Horses...

Anyway, looks like from my tracking I'll get the yellow box tomorrow And yes, I got tracking. It all seems so random and pot-lucky, I just hope it arrives unscathed.

Either that or just start using plastic cases.

that one has tiny mark on front top left corner as well,
think there's been more damaged one's posted than not,
certainly a high ratio of damaged corners

I haven't watched any of the unboxing videos but heard a lot of the sets have damage. I am dreading mine being damaged when it finally arrives. I wonder if Arrow will replace the damaged sets?
