How is the picture quality on the BDs? Is it a substantial increase over the HD-DVD season 1 release debacle? I own all the seasons through 3, held off on 4 because I knew Universal would do a Complete BD release. The set looks great and glad to see the Blu-Ray signification line on the outer case is removable.

I don't have much experience with pre-orders on Amazon but I have pre-ordered this. Does this mean they will ship it on Tuesday, or will they ship it before to arrive on Tuesday? Just wondering because I have Tuesday off and am hoping I'll get the set then so I can spend some time with it that day.

My Amazon preorders usually go into "shipping soon" status on Monday (meaning the order cannot be canceled or changed) and ship on the release date (Tuesday). The packages typically arrive on Thursday or Friday. That's with the free shipping. However, I have had to wait until the Monday of the following week a few times. I think if you pay extra for shipping or have Amazon Prime, your order ships earlier.

I have Prime. Watchmen shipped tuesday but arrived today with the free 2-day shipping. I expect BSG will arrive next wednesday as well. Can't wait.

Where is it confirmed that it's a debacle and that the picture quality is not representative of how it was produced?

Thanks everyone for the info re Amazon pre-order shipping. I've decided to cancel my order with Amazon and pick it up on release date at my local Best Buy (which has it listed as the same price as Amazon).

I'm unsure whether to get this on Tuesday, or wait for the individual seasons from Australia. I hate cardboard disc holders - I don't care if 90% of the packaging is cardboard, but I need that small bit of plastic to have real disc trays for the discs so they don't get scratched over time. Maybe I'll just get the US set on Tuesday, and transfer the discs to some spare multi-disc cases and print out artwork - then they'll be basically the same thing as the Australian seasons, except I'll have saved the extra $150 it'd cost to import them.

I remember trying to watch S1 and I couldn't follow what was going on as I didn't see the tv movie...

Miniseries, Season 1, Season 2, Webisodes. The Resistance, Season 3, Razor, Season 4.0, Webisodes. The Face of the Enemy, Season 4.5, The Plan

Webisodes. The Face of the Enemy and The Plan (not released yet) aren't in this set. All the rest, including the miniseries, are in the set.

THE PLAN is the new movie that doesn't come out until October.

Yeah, you really can't expect the Plan to be in this. I already pre-ordered this and will buy The Plan day one. High hopes for that one.

I know what you mean, I am hopping someone will come up with nice custom covers for each seasin, including the extra content as well.

According to The Digital Bits, the webisodes for The Resistance are included in this set. The Face of the Enemy and The Plan should be the only things (other than some extra features) not included.

The x.5 sets are the second half of their respective broadcast seasons. So if you want all of Season 2 on DVD, you have to get Season 2.0 and Season 2.5.

No, the Face of the Enemy Webisodes are not available on disc in any form at this time.
