I am a huge Romero fan and I personally don't think this is a good idea.
The original trilogy is excellent, didn't need anymore. Land came out, and it was OK, but not nearly up to the level of the first three. Diary and Survival are just bad films. I think the zombie genre is done, personally. Shaun of the Dead was probably the last great zombie film, and fitting as it's a tribute to George's trilogy. So many shows and movies tried too hard to capitalize on the success of the Dawn Remake, and rarely found their mark. Obviously these are just my personal opinions, but I just don't see it as a Romero film if he isn't directly involved. I'd obviously still give it a chance, but I just don't see it working. |
