How does the shipping invoice work for overseas subscribers? There's a new invoice for every release and you pay it to have the package sent? Can the orders stack and you pay to release the whole order?

Really interested in a lot of the forthcoming slate but not all of them so trying to work out if it's more cost effective as a UK customer to buy titles as I want them, since ordering one by one costs more in shipping than ordering multiple titles at once.

Maybe use a forward shipping thing that way you can stack a lot of things then have them shipped over in one go for cheaper.

Any idea what's up with Armed Response? Such a cool 80s action movie (with Lee Van Cleef, David Carradine, Michael Berryman) that needs a Blu-ray release.

The movie's own director, Fred Olen Ray, said on Facebook that he has tried to license it for a Blu release several times (I assume for Retromedia) but that he has been unsuccessful thus far.

Nothing concrete whatsoever yet, but knowing it's in the realm of possibility at all is super exciting.

If such a deal ever materialized, I gotta say the big wants for me are the four Bloody Murder movies, Dead End (2003), Junior, Tobe Hooper's Toolbox Murders remake, Book of Shadows: Blair Witch 2 (w/ the Syfy channel Blair Witch mockumentaries) ...and a UHD of 2001 Maniacs! I'm sure they're sitting on other huge stuff we don't even know about too.

Terror Vision wouldn't be snobby about Y2K titles, so I really hope they're the ones who are able to crack the LG nut.
A Lionsgate title i've never seen on HD that i would love to see get released on Blu-ray is Paint it Black (1989). Hope the original negative still exists.

Some Guy Who Kills People was another TV release to catch me off guard. And it's probably the best movie in the catalog so far. Get it.

If its still with LG, Counterforce (1988) would be cool...

Two excellent early 2000's horror films, both set during 20th Century wars, I'd love to see on Blu-ray: 2001's The Bunker and Deathwatch from 2002. Lionsgate released the latter but not sure who did the former. Maybe MPI. Those are the films I genuinely enjoy and want to add to my collection. They stand out better than most post Y2K stuff.

this is sheer coincidence. cunningham said an in interview that he had never heard of bay of blood when he made friday the 13th. he has also said from the beginning that he was trying to rip off halloween.

i don’t why people are so stuck on this idea, as if cunningham was ever some huge cinephile with wide influences from everywhere and not just a very pragmatic businessman. besides the fact that how easy would it have been in the early 70s, you know the days before home video was even a thought, a screening of an italian movie of a genre that hadn’t been popular yet, around the same of something like the exorcist.

presented without comment

Brad, have you had any luck with Lionsgate? Seems hard to believe that Kino would be the only label to strike a multi-film deal with them.

Brad, very happy you're doing down the Japanese rabbit hole and releasing Door and very excited about your release.

Another title which recently got a 4K restoration by Toei that fits TV would be The Guard from The Underground. I think that would be a good release from you guys.

From what I understand, Bay of Blood was re-released as Twitch of the Death Nerve in the U.S. during the '70s and was even shown on double bills with Last House on the Left. It seems very likely that Cunningham saw it and is just lying to avoid a lawsuit or whatever. Just my opinion.

Brad, since you released Parasites, there are a couple other "urban terror" films I wondered if you had seen and might potentially pursue for release at some point:
Final Jeopardy (1985) which I believe has some sort of HD master and don't think has had a release since VHS.
Another great one missing since VHS days is Chains (1989).
A lot of people on these boards always go on about Enemy Territory which is great but the above two are right there with it and are even more underseen and underappreciated due to poor availability.
One more I thought of in the same vein is Jungleground (1995) with Roddy Piper.

I’ve long championed for The Final Jeopardy to get a release. I asked about it in the Fun City thread when they started releasing some TV movies, but I didn’t get a straight answer. Hopefully Brad knows what is up with The Final Jeopardy. It took me an age to find it on VHS. I found one copy and the tape played poorly. I luckily managed to find another copy that plays perfect. One of my favourite urban thriller movies. I have Jungleland on VHS too. I expected Code Red or Scorpion to release it. Seemed like their jam.

Chains is another that I enjoy. I prefer The Final Jeopardy, but Chains is not far behind it. Both make for a great double feature.

Another title that no one ever mentions or seems to have seen is The Guardian (1984). It’s about an apartment building that keeps getting terrorised by gangs, so they hire someone to keep the building safe. Martin Sheen and Lou Gossett Jr star.

If Brad has the time, I would love to know if any of those 4 movies are available to license. The Final Jeopardy would be in my most wanted top 10.

Door was one of the announced TV titles from this past Monday night-early hours of Tuesday morning that I was interested in. When I saw it mentioned in the thread during the time the YouTube live video was on (on catching up on the new posts since this past Monday night on Tuesday night), I immediately thought of the fact Third Window Films are releasing it in the UK.

Hoping there's a chance of the Door sequels getting a TV release as well.

I think I heard somewhere recently that The Vindicator is with LG now instead of Fox. Not sure if true, but I've been wanting it for ages. Such a vicious little flick with a killer score and poignant ending.
