This is $17.99 on Amazon. I've never seen any of the three films, is it worth it? I recently taped the first one on my DVR but haven't gotten around to it. I was going to buy until I heard the AQ and PQ are horrible.

I bit on that price. How could I not! I'm very familiar with the first one but I've never seen the sequels -- so I figured what the heck...I was going to spend 12 bux on the first one anyway.

So...I would describe the first one, Ocean's Eleven, as being extremely addictive. I can't tell you how many times I've caught it on HBO or something and was unable to stop watching. I think a lot of it is in the editing -- there's not a wasted second of film. It's bip/boom/bip -- very snappy. Which fits seamlessly with the snappy dialogue -- very ultra-hip and cool.

You get to know and study the characters a bit...but they remain distant enough that you learn more each time you watch them. Again, an economy of sorts -- not a wasted bit of dialogue. And tons of quotable lines result. And it's extremely light and breezy...so you can watch it on a brain-dead, eye-candy sort of level and be enthralled the entire time. Not a bad deal -- I'm brain-dead more than I give myself credit for anyway.

I have fun trying to un-weave the whole convoluted plan. It's fun. All the actors are superb -- no small feat I'm sure, given that all the characters need to have different and interesting personalities while sharing the same stage.

The sound track is dynamite -- keeps things moving along real cool like. The only thing I don't like about this otherwise perfect movie is Julia Roberts. I would have chosen anybody else. But even Julia Roberts can't stop the freight train of entertainment in this film. She delivers her lines and you're perfectly able to forget her.

I also never understood why Bernie Mack's character is so adamant about getting a few thousand bux off some vans -- especially after all the expensive and lavish buffets, accommodations and equipment they endure to carry out the operation. Then they just blow them up anyway. But it results in a wonderful scene nevertheless: "You moisturize?"

Most definitely, but not with the Ocean's trilogy.

I saw the Ocean's trilogy triple feature on blu at Walmart for $15. Is it the same discs as the box set and individual releases?

Most likely yes. I think the only "stealth" change Warner made was for Superman Returns, with new pressings getting two lossless audio tracks instead of one like early pressings.

WB looks to be releasing a new Ocean's Collection to blu in Q3 of 2013 for its 90th Anniversary. I'm thinking some remasters are in the cards.

The complete trilogy has been update to 4K HDR on Netflix. I really hope this will release on UHD too. Long overdue!!

100% agree! Ocean's Eleven is a top 10 movie for me, and it has long been one of my most wanted 4K's. I've heard rumors that it might happen for the WB 100 Anniversary... so fingers crossed we get it.

20th Anniversary was two years ago (yikes, has it been that long?). Maybe they're waiting on 25?

any confirmation about the 4K digital code? It's still not in 4K on Vudu, amazon, microsoft video, apple tv. But the physical disc comes with 4k digital code and FanFlix even said this as new in 4K digital release.
