Didn't expect this one but they've piqued my curiosity.

I love the Le chat qui fume release. It might be the most grainy UHD I own and it looks amazing in motion. That said, it's not super English friendly and I'm certainly interested to see what Second Sight can do with their own restoration considering how great they did with Texas Chain saw.

For me, Le chat qui fume and Umbrella had my curiosity, but Second Sight has my attention.

I came VERY close to pulling the trigger on the Umbrella release, but thanks to persuasive and logical posts from dallywhitty and Kyle15 in the thread for that release I held off. Glad I did.

It's a wonderful thing when you discover a classic film from years or decades back that you've never seen and the film is so outstanding it becomes a favorite of yours.

As for the 4K UHD releases, I got the French release in 2021 and I recently purchased the Umbrella release...and I'll be getting this one too.

Hopefully someone will release this with a better quality version of the US theatrical cut. Doesn't it have at least one unique shot in it during the subway scene?

That does ring a bell, yet I just Googled it and couldn't find anything. Wasn't there a shot of Anna with eyes on her hands or something? There's a good featurette on the SS Blu-ray which outlines the differences between the original and US cuts of the film.
