Have to say, don’t see DiCaprio and co doing press junkets really adding much to the interest outside of general awareness which I’m sure Apple are able to fill in somehow.
I don't think Apple expects this to do big business theatrically anyway, so it makes little difference if the actors are able to promote it or not.

It's a prestige title that will further solidify Apple TV+ as the leading streaming platform for awards contenders. Anything it makes in theaters is just icing on the cake.

Saw a trailer for this in front of Oppenheimer, gonna be honest...felt more like an early 2010s AMC series more than something from Scorsese. Didn't engage me at all.

Yes. true. thats how Marty wants you to feel coming in. trailer was hip, bombastic, high on drum beats. Key is to attracting youth and young adults to the cinemas in the first 2 weeks. ages 40+ will show up regardless.

Just remember, this is a $200+ budgeted film.

in so many words, two OPPENHEIMERs can be made in this budget.

Drawing conclusions from trailers lol.

They're worthless and I never watch them. Sucks for the people for whom their cinematic experiences are prematurely soured, or in other cases heightened for dressed-up dreck.

Does it feel like the excitement is a little evaporating now with flicks playing in theaters today; Barbie and Oppenheimer?

Comes Fall all the adrenaline will be back. ...With less fires burning.
Time to rebuild ...

Hugo wasn't. But this is Scorsese's first narrative film to be released in IMAX.

That's just modern trailer advertising for you. Just like having Coldplay playing in the "Napoleon" trailer. They're presenting this like it was 'Hell on Wheels' or something like that.

I'm positive the actual film has a completely different tone and pace.

The teaser trailer should've been the only trailer.

It is, but Paramount is providing theatrical distribution, so it's possible they (or another company like Criterion) could get home video rights as well. I suspect Scorsese wants his films available on home video and may have got such assurances like he did for The Irishman.
