nothing has moved as far as braveheart goes
I'm starting to think there's a market in little stickers to go on a receiver that will light up and say DTS No idea on Panny, it came out of nowhere. I want to know what was changed on the VIERACast sidee, nothing looks different |

No Walt Disney Treasures down the line Jeff? They always release them in limited quantities so it would definitely sell out if released on blu ray. I think.

I've seen other posts doing this and getting answered, even though the answer may be a simple "nuttin", so I though I'd ask about some titles. As others have said, I'm not asking if they're going to be released, but are they maybe being considered or something.
These are some guilty pleasures of mine. Seeing how some studios are releasing "junk" (B-actioners from the 80's and 90's) catalog titles, it wouldn't seem so unlikely to release these: Disney: Dick Tracy, The Rocketeer, The three musketeers(1993), The jungle book(1994), Judge Dredd, Who framed Roger Rabbit Some of those titles don't even have anamorphic dvd releases in the USA, I believe. They all could be eye-candy. But Disney is releasing so little catalog this year, and not in this vein, so I guess these movies won't get released in 10 years. Universal: The shadow, Gods and monsters, Waterworld, The jackal "The shadow" didn't get a widescreen dvd release either. Sony: Sleepwalkers, Nowhere to run(1993), Money train, Fright night, Anacondas: the hunt for the blood orchid Paramount: The phantom(1996), The relic "The phantom", maybe, as tie-in with the new version? Warner: Murder at 1600, Demolition man, Absolute power, The last boy scout, A perfect murder, Conspiracy theory, Soldier, Deep blue sea Thanks anyway |

The difference being that Gaiman did not have a gun placed to his head, and was actively involved with the construction of the movie called Stardust. A similar case was "Jumper", where the author was directly and intimately involved with the movie.
Larson was not involved at all, nor does it have his blessing, and given the multiple public statements of loathing of the source material by Moore and the gang, I doubt they would have wanted to hear his ideas if he had. As it was, they tossed him a pittance check, mostly to stave off a nuisance lawsuit for devaluing his movie rights, and there's no way Larson could afford to sue them anyway and they knew it. |
