There never has been, and never will be a time where a game console isn't given some kind of preorder window.

You're just making stuff up outright at this point on the forum.

400,000 units are expected to cover North America, which encludes USA and Canada.

If Canada receives 100,000 units (they may get less).

Again, more idle guessing and speculation.

You don't know anything for sure.

300,000 units must be divided into 50 states. That means 6,000 units each state if divided evenly. Obvioulsy this will not happen, as larger states will recieve more than smaller states.

Whatever.

Rather than dealling with the hassle of very PO-ed customers, they can just sell first come first serve.

Oh yeah, that's really going to be great! I can already see the brawls breaking out in the streets.

Wii on the other hand will have 4,000,000 units for USA and Canada on 11/19/06. People who want the Wii should have no trouble finding one.

Yeah, because the demand is going to be pretty low vs. the PS3. It should be very easy to come by. No preorder even necessary.
