Criterion are finally releasing UHDs in the UK!? Praise Jesus, hallelujah. Still think the price tag is a bit cheeky, but it's cheaper than importing and I guess I should thank my lucky stars they're not charging even more, lol.

Yeah, this is great news. Hopefully they go back and re-release some other 4K titles that they previously only did on BD there (Menace II Society, Shaft, Double Indemnity, In the Mood for Love, etc...).

Criterion UK going UHD? Wow....big news (potentially)

To be honest I was expecting a far bigger price tag.....

You can all think me and CouncilSpectre for this development after our respective imports.

So who knows which, of the titles Criterion have released in 4K, they will actually be able to release in the UK? I guess at least Double Indemnity, Okja, Power of the Dog, Munchausen as they've recently released Blu Rays over here.

I should add that Criterion's previous refusal to sell 4Ks in the UK was the only thing keeping me from bankruptcy.

The Power of the Dog might have rights issues in the UK as it reverted from Netflix to BBC Film.

I imported also and I'm actually pleased it's being released in UHD in the UK as it might just make the entitled fannies on the UK Criterion thread pipe down for a while.

Nice, hopefully this means no scratched discs because they get pressed in a european replication plant instead of the one in Mexico.

Really hoping they release a few titles they've already done in the US over here. I'm looking to do some imports soon, wanna choose ones that are unlikely to ever get over here due to rights. Might be a gamble but, hey, guess its all part of the fun. Just gonna wait to see what they announce for next month to see how far they'll go.
