Default New Energy Owner

I guess you can add me to the list of Energy Owners, now granted I only bought a pair of Tempest II's for our outdoor seating area but I hooked them up inside just to hear them and wow, very impressed with what I am hearing. For a 2 Way speaker the sound was very full, did not sound tinny or weak at all. Can not wait to hear the Theater Speakers, having that upgrade itch.

Well, the C-300s are on sale for $129 at Audio Advisor. That is about what I paid. They are much deeper then the Take Towers though. Both in bass response and cabinet depth.

Added.

Interesting, I have never even thought of Energy for outdoor speakers... good to know.

There are good deals on the C series(audioadvisor.com) and the Reference Series (vanns.com) ......if you can find a place to audition them, they could be a great listen. For you with the JBLs, you may find the Energys more laidback and warmer, not as bright. Let us know if you do change it up.

That is a great deal and plus Amazon does free shipping...very very tempting! Argh! Its a toss up between these puppies and the KEF iQ7s...but I don't wanna spend more than $400. Decisions decisions!!!

Here's a good review of the KEF's you can read with pros and cons. Since your area is relatively small, you may want to take a look at the writer's placement issues. They sound like great speakers though.

Thanks man! Yeah space is an issue..not much I can do about it, seeing as I'm gonna be here awhile...I guess pretty much whatever I look at in terms of speakers will be hindered in its performance due to the lack of space.

Funny when I bought my Energys I was looking at PSB Alpha T1s, Energy C-300s and the KEF iQ5's and iQ7s. Along with Monitor Audios BR5s these are all speakers in the same realm as one another.

Good Luck. I think any of those 4 would be a great speaker for music and movies.

Hi all. This may be of some help to you, or maybe not lol. But I'm sure some of you are into your wall plaques ? There's a bloke that has created plaque designs to download, so that you can print them off yourself to use. A chap on another forum was using them, but was stuck without an Energy Speakers plaque, so I recreated one for him as a perfect match - colour, gradient, reflection, lens flare. etc

Here's the link to the plaque gallery:

http://www.tinstudio.com/gallery/mai...1182&g2_page=1

Here's what my repro looks like:

And here's the link to the full size 3000 x 2400 px PNG that matches the other plaques in the series:

http://img7.imageshack.us/img7/235/e...eakersfull.png

It's there for anyone that might want to print off their own, and get it framed ?

Well, when the C-500s reach that price, then I'll pull the trigger to upgrade from my C-300s.

so my holidays got extended to 3 weeks instead of one. got back about 2 weeks ago and plugged in the RCLCR right in to break it in. gotta say the difference is really noticeable. it sounds just awesome. such a clear wide range, especially noticing the highs in the center channel. really nice full range warm sound. and coupled with the RC30's very smooth.
love the rosenut finish on the Energy's.
got the port plugs out of all of them and they do sound great.
absolutely happy with my purchase and would recommend these to anyone. i will have some free time in the coming days and weeks (unemployment here we come) so i will take a few pix and post them.

Hey Force,

That looks *****in dude!

But can I ask a small favor ??? any chance you can redo this one with a brushed silver kinda look ?? If you need a pic for an example please let me know. That way it would match the others I'm getting.

thanks

Congrats doubledip! The RC-LCR's are really worth the purchase to pair up with the RC-30's. Once that center is broken in, it'll sound even better.

But, I'm sorry to hear about your current work status. Good luck out there!
