Default Transformers HD DVD Pre-Order #4 at Amazon

so Tformers is sitting on the number 4 spot in the DVD bestsellers. Pretty impressive for a title that's not even out yet. It might just wipe the floor with 300. Now imagine how much it would have sold if it went Blu....

I am not from the US, but it makes me wonder. #1: Amazon is not as big as I thought, and fans can pop the title all the way to the top #2: The title is just selling very well

None of the new titles on BD, Ratouille, F4 2, DH 4.0 are selling near as well on Amazon.

But I don't think Amazon reflects the truth, 300 was high #2 and #3 on BD and HD-DVD, but it ended up selling 2:1.

I could be wrong, please explain??

Why are people so obsessed with this title. I would rather have the Bourne Trilogy on Blu Ray but i won't buy it on HD-DVD. I will wait it out. Every BD fan who is also a fan of this film should also wait it out and buy only when it comes to BD. I would not even buy it on SD.

not obsessed. its this title, along with shrek 3, that hd-dvd is championing as the reason to go hd dvd. being that its at number 4 already when it comes out in a month, to me, is nothing more than 'interesting'.

I never saw Shrek 3 because I really didn't like Shrek 2, and Transformers didn't hold my interest so I walked out after half the movie.

Remember, the DUD fanboys do most of their buying online so the apparent size of TF sales is exaggerated on Amazon.

some of the new HD DVDs tend to hit high on amazon then rapidly drop off the radar. preorders count so that gives the initial boost maintained sort off until release then, drops off quickly.

Sorry to say, but this title made me format neutral. I haven't been on the blu side for long. But the deal from Amazon, plus the gift card I got for Amazon pushed me to get the A2. I get alot of titles and the player for under $175(out of my pocket).
I guess I'm purple now. I just have to have the Transformers movie.

fellas it was a good movie, what do you expect....it will generate a ton of new HDDVD sales...but not enough to get them out of their hole!

This will only buy them a few month's time until the holiday season is over...

you could have bought it on DVD Scott! If you had any real love for BLU, Mr. BLU-Scotty, then return that pieace of junk to Toshiba and settle for an upconverted 1080P DVD verion on your existing BD player. Thats what I am doing....If you dont then you might as well change your name to RED_Scotty...and everyone knows RED is for little girls!!!

:P
