Its all about $$ those teams bring in the big numbers.
BUF/NYJ had 22.6m viewers it was the most watched MNF game since 2000.
TEN/ATL aint doing that.
DAL was in 5 of the 6 most watched reg season games last yr.

Thats why theres flex scheduling later in the yr.
Which is why its odd when people dont want it like they didnt want it for TNF even though it was adopted of course.

We need to stop acting like the NFL or any of these networks are broke… they aren’t hurting.

Doesnt matter bottom line is to max out $$.
Same reason ESPN fired all those people over the summer.

Some of the hens were clucking in here yesterday I see.

It's wild to think that some folks have such vitriol and outright anger towards some NFL teams and/or players like they hurt some of y'all's family or something. It's a game.

As the saying goes, “If you ain’t got no haters, you ain’t poppin’.”

2005-NFLPA
" We need artificial surfaces that don't degrade so we don't have playoff games played in muck."

2023-NFLPA
" We need natural surfaces everywhere because artificial turf causes too many injuries. "

Week 1, players received injuries on both Natural and Artificial surfaces. Rodgers who's injury has re-sparked this argument, did not receive that injury because of the field, do these idiots not remember the painted dirt the northern climate fields turn into in December?

I hope they switch to all grass fields....just so people will start complaining because the fields will get inevitably torn up/too slick...and players will be sliding and falling everywhere.

It's not as easy a fix as people want to make it. There's give and take on both sides of the argument.

It was probably only a matter of time before your 39-year old QB with calf issues blows out his Achilles, anyway. The turf on Monday night was not the reason he's gone for the season.

I dont know how grass could be at giants stadium over here.
Just had a bunch of springsteen concerts & then giants & jets games back to back days.
The old giants stadium did have grass for awhile but was a disaster.
& how could a dome stadium like the superdome even have grass.

But that stadium was built with that designed for.
Giants stadium everything is crushed together already between the racetrack and the old arena and the parking running up against the highway i don't know how they fit that in & not lose all those needed parking spots.
& arizona is a warmer weather climate I don't know if you could do the same thing over the winter here in NJ.
I dont know the superdome layout so is their space to fit that ?

Not really the answer as it received huge complaints for the Superbowl. And as Cowboy said that stadium was specifically designed for a roll out field and not to mention the Climate it is in. I don't understand how they think fields like Indianapolis, Atlanta, Detroit, Minnesota ect would be able to convert.

https://ftw.usatoday.com/lists/field...uper-bowl-2023

If i was the NFLPA i would be more so asking for team owners to be forced to reassess the playing surface of all artificial stadiums in the league. More than likely right now, many stadiums are several generations behind on the advancement of field turf products. I'm sure it is several million to properly field turf a pro stadium and i have no doubts they cut those corners every year. That i think would be a more logical and not to mention doable ask here by the union.

I thought you were referring to the Superdome in New Orleans, specifically. I am not endorsing this conversion for other teams, for all the reasons you listed, and more.
