I just bought about a dozen Titan (JASCO) 3-FT Ultra High-Speed HDMI 2.1 cables at the nearest Staples, on clearance for several bucks a pop. They have a braided cabling and an LED light built into the plug, to show an active connection.

Couple questions here...

I've got a Panasonic UB-820 4k player, and a nearly 10 year old Denon AVR-S910W for my audio receiver. I'm trying to figure out if my receiver supports Dolby Vision now?

I can only find this page:
https://www.avsforum.com/threads/the...21353/page-926

And I'm having a hard time reading it and understanding definitively, but it seems like there has been a firmware update back around 2018 which made my receiver capable of Dolby Vision?

So if I plug my UB-820 into one of the S910W HDMI inputs with an HDMI 2.1 cable, and then plug the S910W into the eARC input of my TV with another HDMI 2.1 cable, will this get me both Atmos True-HD through the receiver, as well as Dolby Vision 4K into the TV?

I know that if I plug the 4K player directly into the TV, then I get Dolby Vision for sure, but the receiver only has ARC support (not eARC), so the sound would be Dolby Digital+ rather than True-HD Atmos, unless I used both outputs on the UB-820. It has separate Video and Audio HDMI outputs so that I could theoretically plug video directly into the TV for Dolby Vision, and audio directly into the receiver for True-HD Atmos, if necessary, but I'm thinking it won't be necessary if the firmware update for Dolby Vision really happened on the receiver? And if I do end up having to go with the dual output from the UB-820, does an HDMI 1.4 cable work for the audio-only True-HD Atmos? I think it is compatible, but wanted to know for sure.

I use Zeskit Maya cables , Never had a issue with any Zeskit HDMI , Also just bought a couple bluerigger , Don't seem as well built good as the Zeskit . But both work great . No need to spend a ton of money on HDMI cables .

I have a Nintendo Switch, X-Box Series S, PlayStation 5, satellite receiver, 4k player and a Roku ultra. I want a 4 output HDMi splitter to help with this, would this one get the job done? I'm sure having a 4k output makes a difference so I wouldn't make it 1 of the 4 devices to plug into the splitter.

If your goal is to add inputs to your TV you'll want a switcher not splitter. A splitter allows you to send one signal to multiple displays.

Thanks, glad I asked people, got the same answer from that Dutch guy I chat with on Skype. I'll look at switchers then.

Read the reviews before buying to make sure you can get your most bandwidth intensive device to output, as the descriptions aren't always accurate.

Especially if you need to run a second output to an AVR. Some will downscale everything to the lowest device's best output.
