And at that time, unless a 3D film was limited to IMAX theaters (and consequently 40min in length, like Wings of Courage), which Thirteen Ghosts wasn't, it would have been made only partially in 3D with anaglyphic sequences, like Freddy's Dead, because normal theaters couldn't project polarized, and few people want to wear anaglyph glasses for 90min. Makes it easy to guess why it may have been "scrapped" from early production.

This thread has, for me at least, been a fascinating insight into the conviction with which people can hold their memories and how, although the OP has yet to appreciate it, even the strongest memories can be unreliable. It is well understood that eye-witness testimony, even when the person describing what they saw is honest, compelling and insistent, may be totally worthless.

Yes, and the amount of people that remembered 3D for Hop (2011) in the thread I linked from 10 years ago is even more baffling. Memory is often unreliable, and our brains physically change as we age and experience health issues. I know mine certainly feels different post-Covid. OP says he saw Haunted Castle (2001) on the same day, which has amazingly strong 3D depth and pop-outs and may be coloring his memory of "a ride" and "the most fun [he's] had at a 3D movie."
