It turns out that the Zeffo actually go farther back, to Rebels and TWBW. They were there, but not made known to us at the time. We know - through Fallen Order and Ahsoka - that The Nightsisters have some sort of relationship with the Zeffo and seem to be jockeying to take whatever Force knowledge and power that ancient race had left behind, after their culture collapsed and disappeared. Anyway, you've got some brushing up to do before the next episode, which I expect will further clarify what's going on there.
And if true, this is why a Filoni feature film will fail...waaaaaaaaaaaay too much backstory claptrap. People are supposed to be familiar with the lore in a video game on top of the lore in the Filoni-verse on top of the lore in Mr. Lucas' films?
Why can't Star Wars just be fun and not up it's own ass?

Don’t worry, just the usual grandstanding from Lex that usually leads to nothing.

I think it’s just an Easter Egg. Zeffo’s name is on the Night Sister temple in an alien language. Someone saw it and translated it. It may never be referenced beyond that.

It's in plenty of YouTube videos, showing the architecture, images from Rebels, footage from the game, and other stuff I mentioned.

https://screenrant.com/ahsoka-episod...er-connection/

Matt Allsopp, who worked on the Disney Star Wars productions, posted art from Ahsoka on his Twitter account, which included Zeffo elements. That art was later taken down by him, after fans noticed it and began talking about it.

Here's a YouTube video that explains it all....

[Show spoiler]Something bad has to happen to the Rebels crew next week. That episode ended way too happy.

Ahsoka was amazing again! Everything is lining up perfectly.
[Show spoiler]Only thing I didn't like about Ezra was him not taking the lightsaber (but understandable after all that time), the actor is playing him perfectly.
Can't wait for the finale.

A lot of Action which made last episode very episode very entertaining even when I don't care about these characters anymore. Okay I like the chick with the white hair. Her character has Potential.
Also very good is that Ezra till know doesn't suck as much as in Rebels. I Rebels I hoped he die soon in every episode. In Ahsoka he is quite a bit entertaining with nice chemistry with Sabine

Ezra just seems a bit off which is forgivable because most of the casting has been spot on.

I must admit that I did a fist pump with a grin on my face when
[Show spoiler]C-3PO
showed up.

I thought Ezra was spot on especially considering that 10 years for him have passed since he was last seen. He was a teenager now he’s an adult.

Whatever Baylan is up to he seems to be staying put in this new galaxy.

Senator Xiono is a major jerk. It’s guys like him that screwed up the New Republic’s response to the New Order.

Good episode overall. My nitpicks are dwindling. Ahsoka displayed such a smug look on her face when facing Balan and then Blonde Emo girl. It was the first time I wished someone would cut her arm or leg off so she could learn to be a humble good pseudo-jedi. Night sisters are cool. Balan has good potential but will probably be offed next episode, along with emo blonde. Sabine continues to lose my interest (loved her character in Rebels). And always good to see Anakin (and goldenrod).

I thought Ezra was a bit uninspiring at first but I'm beginning to warm to him. He and Sabine have decent chemistry.

I don't follow you on this train of thought. I had to look up what Zeffo even was...a planet in the Fallen Order video games (I've never played either of them).

However, they explain that the whales go there to die. The "debris" that Ashoka hides in before landing on the planet are bones of old dead space whales.

They also previously mentioned that the Nightsisters once inhabited that planet.

To me, that's enough back story to explain what's going on.

Thrawn / Ezra were stranded there because that's where the space whales go. There were leftover Nightsisters still on the planet when Thrawn/Ezra were stranded. The Nightsisters could "call" across the galaxies and Morgan could hear that call and built a ship to go rescue them.
