I’m all-in for this. Haven’t rewatched it in literal years as I’ve been waiting for this release.

Though I get the sense from a few other posts that I might be waiting longer still…

I'm cautiously optimistic. Not as excited as I would been years ago. But this is due to cameron who also is not critized enough for relatively hating HDR. At this point its obvious. So I'm already fixing to take the really good BD transfer and grading my own of it. It was one of the really pristine 4K scans in the early 2010's

If the 4K work done this time was for 3D, so DNR for that process? And also if the HDR is lackluster? I'll merely watch the disc only once in a while due to the output

Day, err, ten, eleven.... maybe. A director with a reputation for clubbing his 4K UHD movies to death with the DNR stick and a studio renowned for atrocious encoding. What could possibly go wrong? Pre-order your little hearts out you crazy brave people. And on release day let me know just how hard you hit that Jim Cameron shaped iceberg. Ta.

At least Cameron was able to fix the ending to stop the debate of if there was enough room for Jack on the door or not.

Very true.......this is one of those cringy situations. One wants the title out on 4k, but then again considering the studio and director.......maybe we don't?

Great news, I just hope the UHD looks better than how the film did on the big screen when I saw it back in February. A lot of it was de-grained and it had that weird high frame rate garbage in a couple places too. REALLY hope that doesn't carry over to the UHD otherwise I'm just sticking with my BD (which looks lovely actually - fantastic encode). Plus you gotta take into consideration Paramount's awful UHD encodes.

I'll reserve judgement until I see caps but hopefully the disc doesn't turn out like the actual ship.
