Had not checked out the 4K inventory over at Gamefly and was able to snag Halloween Ends and Red Heat on 4K disc for about $17 for both. I had a $5 discount code I was abkle to use on top of it.

Might get the Police Academy films boxset on Blu-ray. Caught the back end of part two on tv the other night and forgot how fun these were.

Edit: ordered along with Second Sight’s Xtro and When A Stranger Calls/When A Stranger Calls Back standard editions (in their sale)

I was able to get this apparently OOP Kino Lorber blu-ray for just $22.43 brand new off of ebay:

I had been keeping an eye out for it for several weeks and there wasn't a single copy to be had anywhere I had checked until suddenly this one brand new copy appeared. I was lucky in both finding it and getting it for a good price.

Hopefully it shows up being what you expect.

I bought the Blu Ray out of a big box set from Ebay and was pleasantly surprised it was what they said it was.

Of course, Ebay is pretty good at conflict resolution esp if you are persistent.

Hopefully not an issue in this case.

I recently purchased a 16 channel amp and was shipped a 12 channel amp. I opened an "Item not received case" and seller provided tracking info and Ebay closed it. I had to open the correct "Item not as described" complaint to get the seller to work with me on a resolution. I'm pretty sure the seller was being a little shady the whole time. I believe he intentionally shipped the wrong thing and was stonewalling me until there was a chance Ebay would hold the funds.

I have already received the item and it arrived still shrink wrapped from a seller I have dealt with before.

I hope that your amp purchase was resolved to your satisfaction.

I don't take alchav's advice very often, but I did this time by "buying" No Hard Feelings (2023, 4K digital, Vudu).

I also "bought" Asteroid City (4K digital, Vudu) and Manhunter (1986, HDX, Vudu).

I paid $24.97 for the lot of 'em. There are no 4K discs of the first two available and the third is OOP on blu.

I saw Asteroid City at the theater and it is an odd little duckling directed by Wes Anderson. I liked it, but I'm kinda odd myself. Unless you are a fan of his style I recommend seeing this somehow before purchasing it; it's not for everyone.

Asteroid City is in 4K on Peacock, but haven't gotten to it yet.

My Blu Ray of No Hard Feelings came with an iTunes copy which is usually how I share with others. (Others being my kids) (I gave all of my kids an ATV4K)

Edit - Apparently I have PeaCock free with my internet sub but I haven't gotten to that yet either. I bet it's with ads and that has kept me from even bothering to find out. Confirmed it's the "premium" version that has ads. Even though I won't be paying for it ... I'll still wait on redeeming that. It's free but I have to think about if I want to even bother with it. I don't like ads.

You would have to pay $6 per month to have it ad-free.

I liked it much better than I thought that I would, but it is strange to the point of being bizarre and that alone will displease many people. It has a great cast, a unique visual appearance, peculiar dialog, and an imaginative, at least IMO, story.

Streaming it first is a good idea unless you already know what you are in for with Wes Anderson.

"Premium" that has ads? There's an oxymoron and a half. There's not a damn thing "premium" about a service that includes ads.

Watched No Hard Feelings and Asteroid City on BD via GameFly. Thought No Hard Feelings was funny but not worth a repeat view, thought Asteroid City boring so dumped out about an hour in. Had Manhunter on LD, then DVD and now BD.

Peacock will place 10 second ads for their original programing on certain content. There will be an advisory prior to the start of the content of this situation. It happens only once or twice during the content.

No big deal.

Even though I only pressed play to catch the opening of The Continental E1, it greeted me with several minutes seconds worth of ads. I decided to not watch it just yet until all 3 episodes go live and do a binge.

No big deal.
It may not be a big deal to you, but there is nothing premium about having what you are watching interrupted by ads. Not one time, not anytime, not at all ever.

AVOD is only tolerable when it is entirely free.

It happens before the content starts and when it ends. I don't ever recall seeing one during the content.

99.99% of Premium is ad free and you bit*h about the 01%. Of course you would!

Of course you would call a dissenting opinion ********. It is only my opinion as to what constitutes premium and premium can not include commercial interruptions, period.

cheez avenger describes the experience much differently than you did.

You just said this in your previous post contradicting what you are saying now:
