I also recently bought:

Only problem with that sort of 3D is that it can fall into Christopher Nolan's dismissal that 95% of depth cues are 2D.

Cinemark runs an ersatz 3D CGI promo clip for its movie club before its films start, but after the "please put on your 3D glasses" message is played. Even though this clip is 100% 2D, when given the impression that it should be in 3D, I've encountered people who believe it is in 3D. Bizarre how the mind works sometimes.

I've played some video games in 3D that are depth-only but are unmistakably strong 3D, but it's too rare that I find a 3d bluray with that type of depth.

Where'd you snag 3 Musketeers?

Movie. Fantastic story of a rat cooking food for humans. It moves from scene to scene with ease. I didn't feel the time moving...quite engaging.

Next up: The Darkest Hour, The Walk
Luckily I have a Sony Blu-ray player that allows me to increase the 3D so movies like this one have more pop-outs. This scene does pop-out no matter what player you have:

As in, "viewers would put up their hands to protect against the glass" levels of popout?

Looking at that scene in 2D, cynicism is flaring up and I'm suspecting it'd be one of those conversion error scenes where the rat's nose looks like it has some pop but the book and glass in front of him would not pop. Fingers crossed I'm wrong on that.

Just came across "Dark Flight" the first 3D horror film released by Thailand in 2012. It's out of print but found a new copy on eBay with English subtitles. Region free. Trailer looked good. Not too bad reviews.

From what I remember, the 3D is decent.

The 3D in 407 Dark Flight looks great. Probably the same camera/rig setup used on 3 AM 1&2 and The Second Sight. I didn't care for the film at all (wanted to get off the plane more than the passengers did), but I suppose I've watched worse for the sake of 3D.

Drive Angry. Medium-to-Strong. The coin flips are spectacular. I always pause them to enjoy. Great separation. Nice color contrasts which helps the separation even more. Clear dark scenes. Just lacks nega para to get the Strong rating. Nice addition to my collection.

Movie. I got bored. I was only looking forward to Amber Heard's scenes which thank goodness was abundant. Nice start but went down fast to the typical action movies with lots of chasing and shooting which I'm not a fan of.

Just again watched Miss Sadie Thompson.

Considering it's a tamed down version of the Somerset Maugham short story, the 1953 film was still very risqué for its time and banned in a few States. Still, it does hold one's interest even if the silent with Gloria Swanson and the pre code Rain with Joan Crawford were more explicit.

As far as the 3d, it's enjoyable though limited in depth and color. Though the 3D might not have been necessary as far as dramatic affect, Miss Sadie Thompson is still an example of how 3D simply can enhance the viewing pleasure . Recommended.

Can’t relate, absolutely loved this, one of the finest exploitation flicks ever made with a fantastic cast, especially William Fitchner. My absolute fave crazy Cage film.

Wouldn't the coin toss qualify as negative parallax?

That one, Young Detective Dee: Rise of the Sea Dragon, and Detective Dee: The Four Heavenly Kings are all absolutely sublime, three of Tsui Hark’s best films IMO. And the 3-D in all three is some of the absolute best I’ve seen in modern 3-D films (native I think?).
