Icarus Films will be releasing a Blu-ray set featuring Early Short Films of the French New Wave on September 19th. There are 19 films in total, including some from directors Jean-Luc Godard, François Truffaut, Alain Resnais, and Jacques Rivette, among others.

This seemed like the perfect opportunity to release the three Rivette short films that were recently discovered. Maybe another label already has the rights to them? Criterion could feature them in a future release of L'amour fou.

It's labeled "Region A" on the back cover.

I own a copy, and tested it on a Region B player, which returned a region error message.

Does anyone own this release? I noticed two different reviews (which may or may not be from the same person) on Amazon that said Disc 1 isn't playing for them

I have bought this three times now from Amazon and none of them will play. Disc 2, which does play, I am sorry to say, is not worth the $ all by itself

This was bought as a Christmas present. When it was received and played and the defect was detected it was past the 30 day date for return and refund

Received today. Seems like a rewrap and Disc 2 was a floater on arrival...

But both discs work perfectly in my middle of the road US LG UHD machine.
