Agreed. No matter where you go, you’ll encounter negativity. That goes for the workplace as well. Sometimes you need thick skin but at least on here you can use the ignore/block feature, report bad behavior and just roll with it.

This forum is slowly becoming the IMDb boards though. ..ok not that bad!

Occasionly I get a knock on here when I haven't deserved it, when I've had thin skin. I'd like to think I have thick skin the rest of the time when I have positive things to focus on, things to do which helps to keep my mind focused (ie. where I am not knocked off the straight path I want to be on), and when I have helpful advice and support from the members I get on with (especially from a select few friends). It can be tricky switching my mind off from some of the things I see on here (I have observed some things on here I haven't been happy with, and after speaking to people about it and reporting it, it usually (and in some cases, eventually) gets sorted out).

I have to have a break off here at the weekend to recharge my batteries, to regroup my thoughts and to decide how to approach the coming new, fresh week. But there were a few negatives on here during last night's visit.

I try and create a positive atmosphere and help others out as best I can.

so i might as well say it somehow early mon morning woke up with a kink in neck<-still little sore on left side when i turn my head to right some don't feel so good

how long is this going to last go away tonight end of the week? thinking either take some advil or ibuprofen taking a hot shower won't do nothing eh i never had this issue before so kindof concern

Welcome to getting old....

I had that same pain in my neck literally last week, no clue what i did to have pissed my body off like that but for a day or two it hurt to turn my head to the left and the pain would shoot down my arm and lower back.

well i don't have no shooting arm/lower back yet its basically like kink/stiff neck in a way i'm going to take 2 extra strength tylenol right now and ever few hours i guess just let heal on its own hopefully by end of the week i don't know

thinking about going to walgreens getting this you two think i should do that or not i don't know i ice the pain a little bit just few mins ago

Stephen Lang Will be signing autographs at a meet and greet on Friday in Gettysburg, PA. He’s there for the 30th Anniversary of the film and there will be several showings along with numerous panels throughout the weekend. I’m thinking about going but it’s a non-ticketed event, so no guarantees.

According to the FAQ, he can sign two items. I guess I can bring my Gettysburg digibook along with a copy of Avatar to sign. I just hope it’s not a waste of time going down there to be told it’s at capacity, etc.

Thoughts?

Yeah…that’s what I’m afraid of considering the Avatar films really brought him back into the spotlight. Plus it’s over 3 hours each way to get down there. It would be awesome to meet him but if I’m unable to..I’m gonna be ticked. I got 2 days to think it over.

If it's a typical strain/sprain (i.e. you slept in an awkward position, overextended without warming up, etc.) it will probably lessen over the next few days. I would just wait it out and save your money. I think hot/cold applications that you can apply yourself at home will probably be just as good anyway.

yeah i think its better it don't hurt much esp when i lay down am not sure ice thing last night or that cream thing put on last night i doubt it was the Tylenol i did touch both left and right neck seems normal again so i guess that tightness left side of neck is gone

i can also confirm that i just ate a cheeseburger and a hotdog left overs from last night and it didn't hurt my neck so seems everything good again

You should definitely go. He's a fantastic actor. I thought he was brilliant in Tombstone. Gettysburg is a fantastic movie. Been ages since I've seen it. Have been there twice, '97 and '99 and wouldn't mind getting back someday. Won't say I'm a Civil War or a history buff but I am fascinated with it and to this day, I can remember the name of the only civilian killed in the battle.

Have you been to Gettysburg before? Even if you weren't able to meet him, you still have the battlefield to tour and I'm sure you could make a nice weekend of it. Were you planning on spending the night there or a couple nights?

I was there over 10 years ago, so it’s been a good minute. I only found out about the event(s) yesterday and most of it is sold out, otherwise I would stay over and make a weekend out of it. You’re totally right though…worst case scenario: autograph session is a shitshow, I can always tour the battlefield and check out the museum.

I’m still on the fence but it would be great to meet Lang. Tom Berenger will be there as well, but he isn’t doing autos.
