Default Dragon Ball Daima coming Fall 2024

Quote:
The time has come, Dragon Ball fans! After years of waiting, it seems the team at Toei Animation is ready to put Son Goku back on the small screen. Today at New York Comic Con, the studio behind the Dragon Ball anime announced its next series, and Dragon Ball Daima promises to pick up on the anime.

According to reports, Dragon Ball Magic will not be a sequel to Dragon Ball Super or continue it in any way. Rather, this new series will focus on the gap of time between Dragon Ball Z (pre-epilogue) and Dragon Ball Super. This means Dragon Ball Daima will tell all-new events, and sadly, there will be no Ultra Instinct showdowns.

Dragon Ball Daima is also slated to shake things up with Goku. The Saiyan is expected to be de-aged in this anime, and Goku will be forced to travel the galaxy with the Kaioshin at his side. From there, you can imagine what sort of adventures the pair will get into, and it is likely some familiar allies will join the pair at some point.

Looks really interesting I thought. Not really sure what to make of it at this stage but it looks like Toriyama’s going for something a lot different than what he was doing with Super. That’s exciting!

I would love to see another adventurous series like the original Dragon Ball, but this looks like they didn't learn anything from Dragon Ball GT....Goku & Vegeta must always be the focus.
Why can't we get a series focused on the next generation? I think the Dragon Ball GT movie was the only time they ever did that.

Saw the trailer when it was only 1min old uploaded, couldn't believe my luck for being online on Twitter at that very moment.

All I can say is I'm incredibly hyped. Love that the entire cast got made small and not just Goku and Kaioshin.

I have to say Dragon Ball Rugrats edition doesn't sound great. But I will give it a watch. I was hoping for the next series to take place after Super/ Super Hero Movie

I prefer calling it Dragon Ball GT2.

Oh God. They already jumped the shark with Super. We'll have to come up with a whole new term for what this is

Geekdom101 has been saying for years a new DB show would be released, and eventually he was right. lol

Edit: DBGT certainly is getting a boost in views/comments again thanks to Daima's announcement:

Nice to see DBGT by Toriyama.

I've been wishing Kageyama would return to make DB songs and this could be the perfect chance for them to hire him again.

I read that Muten Roshi looks like Kuririn, and well, it's true!

The animation of the trailer looks absolutely beautiful and I'd rather wait than have a mess like Super was.

The TV version looks like a DBZ spoof from Gintama. lol

I'm guessing we can expect Son Goku to say something along the lines of: "Shen Long made me a kid again?! But he already made that happened before!"

And considering they showed Super Saiyan 4 on the trailer, we'll probably see that transformation on the show, too. Kid Goku SSJ4 that'll be awesome.

He's on the outs with them because of the Yamamoto situation. Basically Kenji Yamamoto was his buddy and arranged all his Dragon Ball hits, and Toei gave him the boot, so now Kageyama refuses to work with them

They were probably thinking that cute, chibi versions of all the characters would sell them a lot of toys. See for reference: The Muppet Babies, Baby Yoda, etc

If that wasn't in Toriyama's original manga then it's not canon
