Even the artwork on the front and back of the standard edition just feels so... lackluster?

But hey, as long as the film looks good, I'll get over the packaging fairly quickly.
Same, shocked that the collector's edition is premium by being... stuffed with paper items? Ooo, la la. The book might be something interesting, but I can't help feeling like it'll be nicely-bound fluff with all the same publicity photos we've seen for years.

Holding out for a better-looking steel book but either way, my hopes rest on this release looking and sounding great.

Makes it hard to sit through the end credits.

It's been a few years since I've seen it, but I feel like you hear remnants throughout via musical queues? maybe I'm wrong.

Don’t understand why haters or people who genuinely dislike this film, feel the need to pop into a forum dedicated to the film.

I’ve totally scrapped the idea of getting the collector’s edition since Jurassic Park’s 30th Anniversary collector’s edition was so lacklustre.

It's a well made movie by James Cameron. When I say I'm not the biggest fan I mean that in comparison to some of his other works. I just hate that song.

The version of the song during the end credits is much better imo.

It's such a common misconception along with "Celine Dion did all the music".

See the post above about Sissel, yes. The theme is what you hear throughout the film, not Dion or that specific song with lyrics.

If it weren’t for the music the film wouldn’t come alive and immerse people in a much as it does. It works with the visuals, remove it and most of the experience is gone.

The back cover image that’s going around is from the Canadian release (hence the little 14A rating in the corner), so the French is for that. From what I remember, Paramount just has North American rights and 20th Century Studios (Disney) has the rest of the world rights. So, hopefully Disney doesn’t drop the ball on this one for everyone overseas.

Hey everyone, new user here. I joined just for this thread. Titanic is my favorite movie of all time and I’m super excited! Thanks to all for the information provided so far. Any info on when the collector’s edition will be available for pre-order? And do we know if the deleted scenes from the previous Blu-ray release will be included on this release?

Back cover says 2 disc set, I’m betting Paramount being Paramount -

4K disc is movie plus commentaries and the new supplements.

Blu-ray is the old special features disc from the previous release.

It can’t be the same exact blu disc, as it has a new documentary right?
