I had to make a couple cuts but used my $10 birthday coupon.

Plus, my mom gets the Criterion Channel gift codes and just sends them to me.

But, we just wired tens of thousands of dollars for our new house while we wait a week to get the money from the old house.

Money is a bit tight. I hate being a responsible adult.

Does anyone know or have any educated guess as to which films are getting the next 4k upgrade?

I'm thinking about getting Jules et Jim next month but I'll hold off if a 4k is in the works.

A few days late -- I think BN accepts PP. At least there is an option in the checkout section for it and the online help section says they do

Just went with stuff I'd like to fit in before Halloween:

Tod Browning's Sideshow Shockers
The Trial 4K
Videodrome 4K
Night of the Living Dead 4K

Mean Streets 4K is the only must-have for November for me, so I'll play catch up with 4K upgrades that month

I'm broke until Friday. But I was able to with the $10.00 gift amount from Criterion purchase this for $14.97 total with shipping. Everything left over that I want will have to wait until the B&N sale in November.

Wow was not expecting a sale today. Just checked my email though and I was given a $10 gift cert the other day and decided to look a bit further back and saw that they sent me an additional $20 back in April for being a Criterion Channel charter subscriber. Wasn't going to get anything this time around (what with the upcoming B&N sale next month) but now that I have $30 off I decided to grab La Bamba and the 4K of The Princess Bride.

Just bought Blow Up, Pan's Labyrinth, Exotica, and War and Peace. I'll save Last Picture Show and Don't Look Now for B&N sale next month.

Does Amazon USA usually price match the flash sale? Prices haven't changed yet for a few things I wanted to get.

I got The Adventures of Baron Munchausen. I was also interested in Blow Out, but I'll save that for next month or the next flash sale.

No, they don't. They do that for B&N sales.

Knife In The Water is possible. That, Repulsion, and Rosemary's Baby are the only ones I know that Criterion has done (in either the laserdisc era or the DVD/Blu-ray/4K era), but there's probably some more. Also, KITW had a laserdisc, and they've explicitly said that their laserdisc titles have a special place in their hearts, so I think if they got a reasonable offer to do a Blu-ray or a 4K they would.

Other studios have it out on Blu around the world, but I can't opine on the quality of those discs.
Hope they do end up releasing it. I only care about his work from Knife in the Water and up to The Tenant. After that, who cares.
