Does anyone know if Synapse still owns ‘Prom Night (1980)’?

SF seems like they would do a great job with a new 4K scan and UHD release of that one. The synapse release was a 2K of the negative, so the negative exists.

Terror Train (1980) on 4K UHD by SF would also be good, the IP was used for the last Blu that Scorpion Releasing did (88 Films may have used the same scan for their release).

What are the odds of finding a copy of Night of the Creeps with a slipcover?

Synapse said recently that there has been some changes with the company that owns prom night and curtains and they're kinda impossible to deal with now, and to not expect a 4k.

With the recent rumors of Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003) potentially getting a 4K from Scream Factory, I wonder if we'll get the finally get the unrated cut of Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning on 4K, or Leatherface: Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3 since all three are with Warner Bros.

I suspect this is what's holding up Prom Night 2-4 also.

Shout's Collector's Edition Blu-ray of Night of the Creeps was on the list of titles I was thinking about getting in the recent Shocktober sale, but decided not to get it. Since then, saw a clip from the film's trailer on a TV channel here which pushed my interest up in getting the film.

Then of course (as others have said in the past), Shout will announce a 4K Blu-ray/Blu-ray combo pack release if I purchase a copy.

Hope they go bankrupt and have to sell off the films to a more willing company.

That would be awesome if they did that. Triple-Chainsaw.
It's weird that we never got the unrated cut for The Beginning on Blu-ray. As for TCM III, Ive been collecting promo material and other cool stuff just in case it happens.

I have the Eureka edition, which is why I skipped Shout’s release but I regret doing so. It’s very strange that there’s still no 4K. Makes me wonder if there’s some kind of rights issue

They are probably waiting on Sony, since they insist all work is done in house.

Do any of you think John Carpenter's Body Bags has a shot at getting a 4K release or are we good with the Blu-ray?

Looks like Le chat qui fume will be releasing XTRO on Blu-ray (from what I can gather, the email is in French). The absence of a US release for this film has always baffled me. Was hoping Shout would've picked it up by now but I want it on 4K since I own the Second Sight release.

I am curious as I have Eureka's edition and thought it was excellent especially for the price. Why did you regret getting that?

Interesting. I'm surprised there is ANOTHER 4K scan done as previous one looked nearly perfect. Either way looks to be a pretty good release.

That's going to be my plan. Worst case scenario, I can pre-order Funeral Home with it.

Sorry, I meant why did you prefer to get the Shout version over the Eureka?
