I was just thinking about this and when we could expect a release date. Evans started screening the 4K restoration last month, and hinted that he was working on a physical release. I cannot wait! One of my all time faves.

The sequel is the superior movie by far, but I loved this one also. I'll definitely be picking this up.

I agree with you on the aborted Part 3, disagree about Part 2; got a lot going for it, but like most sequels it sags with bloat. The first is breathlessly lean and mean, with neither fat nor gristle.

This was one of the highest on my wishlist for a 4k upgrade considering how terrible the BD is. For as much as I love steelbooks, I have the kimchi steel for both films, and wouldn't mind a cheaper, non-steel version and just put the 4k discs in the nicer packaging.
