Yeah I think MINI LED is going to be samsung's flagship consumer solution for at least another 5 years. It seems 2023 is a transition year for them, as they have stopped development of OLED panels (they will still have OLED models for now, just they will be buying panels from LG), and are starting to really tap into the brightness capabilities of MINI LED for their 2024 models. Their first 3 generations were more about refining the dimming algorithm and cost optimization, and it seems gen4 they are going to go next-level with picture quality by massively increasing both brightness and zones.

MicroLED will be the ultimate destination that offers the brightness and burn-in free traits of MINI LED combined with the per pixel dimming of OLED, but I believe they will keep those displays at the ultra high end for quite some time to come. Although, those 98" MINI LED TVs at $40k ain't exactly cheap!

Samsung will still be making QD-OLED for years to come. You can go into the SM of S95C and tweak a few setting to boost PL to 2000 nits. Not advised with current thermal pad, but i would not be surprised Samsung uses a true heat sink in 2024 and boosts PL to 2000 nits.
