Digital Copy transfer - Blu-ray Forum

Going to be on a business trip next week so I'm starting to cash in on all my digital copies.

Does anyone know if there is a limit to the amount of computers that you can transfer the video files to?

i want to say i got a message that it was up to 5. but i can't remember for sure.

if you are using iTunes, you can authorize up to 5 different computers. Meaning you can put the same video file on 5 comps.

yea, It might actually be 6 cause you main comp plus 5 others. but Im not entirely sure on that.

Do you need the code every time you open the file on another CPU?

you dont need the code that you use to redeem the d.c.

if and when you put the movie file on another comp, you need to enter that computers code. just like when you buy a song or whatever, you enter your password. I hope I didnt confuse you. But once you authorize that computer, you dont need the password to play it or anything.

lets start from the beginning.

You have the digital copy, when you first put it on you computer, you input the redeem code that came with the DC (digital copy). then you have to put in your itunes password. okay so now its on your desktop.

so now you want to put the movie on your laptop. you put the movie file on a thumbdrive and then plug the thumbdrive into you laptop. When you take the file from the thumbdrive and put into itunes, you need to enter the password that is set on the itunes program for the laptop. Now you can play the same movie on 2 different computers.

OIC... got it! Never heard anyone call an iTunes password a computer code.
