I hope it’s true. The limited theatrical rerelease had too much DNR - I kept reading complaints so I skipped it. I want an organic transfer.

I hope so too. If Titanic turns out to be great, and they did well with The Abyss, True Lies, and Aliens...it's going to be an amazing Q1 '24 for 4K UHD.

I hope they did it. I just finished The Fugitive, and WB knocked that release out of the park. If we get that level of quality for the Cameron films from Fox/Disney I will be really pleased.

I haven't seen the 25th Anniversary re-release in cinemas, this year, but I went to see the 20th Anniversary one, back in 2017, and the picture looked like the 2012 Blu-Ray, with some layer of grain here and there.

Hope they didn't tweaked anything with this one.

Meantime, Avatar will get re-released in Blu-Ray 3D on December 19th.

Hope they will re-release it also in 3D, sometime later, for those who didn't got it on the first run, as the 3D of TITANIC really is phenomenal, even better than Avatar, in certain parts.
It would be a shame if only Avatar and T2 3D will remain the only Cameron movies you can get on the format.

I watched the 25th anniversary re-release of the Dolby Vision 4K version and several other versions, and the Dolby Vision version had clearly visible noise throughout the movie. In contrast, these 2K showings in regular theaters and IMAX digital theaters had no visible noise. I seriously doubt that those who gave feedback that the 25th anniversary release version didn't work well were not choosing the best theaters.

None of the independent digital retailers I frequent have this available for preorder (Diabolik, Orbit or Atomic). It seems they predominantly deal with boutique labels but this is the first time it hit me lol.

Any reason why the collector's edition just jumped to $173 today (11/22) a day before Thanksgiving? Seems pretty petty on Amazon's part.

Are they the ones selling it? If it went OOP, that could be a third party seller.

If everything is perfect, what's there to discuss? If it makes you unhappy, don't visit the T2 thread.

If everything is bad, and there is nothing more to be said about why it's bad and how bad it is, what's there to discuss either? I'm just trying to make suggestions about how to be happier in life, to focus more on the good things. A bad UHD is ultimately nothing in the grand scheme of things.

I already don't visit the T2 thread. I just glanced at it right now, and left quickly. I don't think I have ever posted anything there.

And last, but not least, please stop picking up on me. You never reply to my posts unless it's to criticize me for something. It's like I never do good. Look at my whole history, I have plenty of awesome posts and comments. But the tensions in this forum are finally getting to me lately, I really need to get a break.

Because if something is bad or not up to par, people like to discuss and dissect what the problem(s) are. It makes for a much more interesting and lively discussion than a Pollyanna-esque love-in over something that's perfect.

Nobody needs you to come on here to lecture them about how to be happier in life; if people enjoy engaging in discussions that you perceive to be "negative" then that's their prerogative, and it doesn't mean that they're unhappy in their personal life.

I'm not "picking" on you, but you keep posting a lot of shit. You talk about how everything and everyone is negative, how they should be happier, how you really need to take a break. If you want to take a break, then take a break. A discussion about a bad UHD is ultimately nothing in the grand scheme of things.
