I know it's a little late to weigh in but my picks going into this weekend were...

Big 10 Michigan over Iowa - Spread is >20 and I agree, it shouldn't be close.
Big 12 Texas over Oklahoma State
SEC Georgia over Alabama - Should be an interesting one, but I think Georgia wins again.
Pac 12 Oregon over Washington - Obviously, I got this one wrong. Thought Washington winning the 1st time was a fluke, but it turns out they are the bettwe team.
ACC Louisville over Florida State - Tough to call. FSU is only a 1 point favorite.

Considering Washington already won, if things pan out for the rest of my picks, I think the playoff would be:

1. Georgia
2. Michigan
3. Washington
4. Texas

Assuming FSU loses and Texas wins (especially if it's convincingly), I do think Texas edges out Ohio St. for the #4 spot. Ohio St. probably needs a perfect storm to make the playoff - FSU, Texas, and Alabama all losing.

Edit - Turns out Texas had already won their conf title game big before I even posted. Completely missed that one. They still really need FSU to lose to have a real shot at making it.

I recall being impressed with the guy his first couple years. Seemed like Ohio St. was on the right track. But yeah, they're going in the wrong direction with him and just can't get win the big games (3 straight losses to Michigan, coming up short in the postseason).

I thought Oregon would beat Washington. I don't know about Georgia/Bama, AL has had their #. I just don't want Ohio St to weasel their way into the playoffs, Texas looked damn good vs Oklahoma St. I actually think Texas may be the best team in the nation right now. FSU should win, but aren't they down to their 3rd string QB for the ACC title game? If so, that could be a major impact

If this score holds, Bama and Georgia both make it. Definitely close enough for Georgia to get a spot. So the fibal spot is FSU's if they win, Texas if they lose.

The argument is Texas beat Bama so they can't be left out. FSU might not making it even if they win. I would be pissed as a FSU fan but we are not better than those other teams. So if they put Bama in Texas has to be in too.

Michigan up 10-0 at the half and only because the Hawks gave up a big punt return. Iowa's defense is stuffing Michigan on the run, but Iowa's offense is just so awful. If Michigan was playing Texas right now, the Horns would win easily.

That's the argument, but it won't happen. Alabama is guaranteed to leapfrog into past Texas into the playoff and Georgia isn't falling below Texas. Depending on how this ACC title snoozefest ends, it'll almost certainly be.

Sorry man... if they finish a 13-0 season, I get that they have to be in the playoff. I think they're actually an excellent team, if healthy. They've just had some bad breaks. Will give them credit for pushing through in spite of that. They're just going to be in over their head in a semifinal.
