Thumbs up 2023 Projector Central / ProjectorScreen.com Laser TV Showdown Results Are In!

The results are in!

ProjectorScreen.com, the world's leading online retailer of projectors and screens teamed up with Projector Central to host the 2023 Laser TV Showdown.

At last week's ultra short throw projector contest we assembled the largest collection of ultra short throw projectors into a showdown to determine the absolute best. It was a fierce battle between the top brands in the market. After hours of testing and deliberation, the judges picked a winner.

Based on the judge's votes, the Formovie Theater took 1st place for the 2nd year in a row over several major electronics brands.

In 2nd place was a tie between the Epson LS800 and Hisense PX2-Pro. In 3rd place was the Leica Cine 1.

You can find all the details of the event here: https://www.projectorscreen.com/blog...ector-shootout

Only LCD and DLP projectors with native 2K (1080P) imaging chips using pixel shifting for this showdown. There should have been JVC and Sony LCOS projectors that use native 4K imaging chips with no need to pixel shift. JVC and Sony would have at least won when it comes to resolution.

The purpose of the event was to evaluate ultra short throw projectors and not all projectors.

Good point since JVC and Sony only make long throw projectors currently. Thanks for your reply.

Anyone that is looking for a movie theater experience but logistically can’t or does not want to mount a ceiling projector, these UST 4K laser projectors really are a great option. The image quality and performance has vastly improved from the initial wave of USTs three years ago.

They aren’t cheap especially compared to flat screen TVs nowadays and aligning them and keeping them aligned is a no small feat… but the end result is fantastic in creating a true movie theater experience without the logistical issues of mounting a projector.

I like AWOL's new LTV-3000 Pro UST Projection system that comes with your choice of 6 projection screens, including the motorized floor rising UST/ALR screen. Now through Dec. 31, 2023 the screen of your choice is free and we are participating in this very aggressive Holiday sales promotion and we include 2 pairs of 3D glasses also at no charge. $3,999, free Nationwide deliver and your choice of the best projection screen to best match your use.

We have the LTV-3000 and LTV-3500 on display/demo in our new suite of 15 Cinema Demo Rooms. I put 7 UST systems from the top brands and 8 Long Throw projector systems all with premium Dolby Atmos/DTS:X audio systems and theater seats.

Love for many of our Blu-ray.com friends to visit us to audition our two beautiful A/V showrooms.
