If development on the Blade game just got started in late 2023, then I'll expect some news by late 2025 for the release. Hopefully no more than 2 years to complete it. By then, I don't expect a PS6 to be announced, but more like 2030. The economy is not ready for another new console IMO, now December 2023, with Hasbro laying off 1200 workers, nevermind the mass layoffs at Google, Amazon, Netflix, Twitter and other big studios/offices, and more common jobs too, with franchises going out of business like Christmas Tree Shops for example in 2023.

Late 2025 is also when the new Blade movie should be in theaters by some miracle at this point with all of the set backs, fired director and writer/actor strikes...

If Marvel did say they want any games started from 2022 onward to be available to all platforms, and yet this is being developed by Microsoft Studios, then I'd have to ask, has Microsoft Studios ever released a game for all platforms including the Playstation? I'm going to guess not yet.

I saw some posts that showed LinkedIn profiles at Arkane that point to Blade being in development since early 2022, not sure how accurate it is and no idea how that ties into any statements from Marvel.

As far as other games from Microsoft, the best example is Minecraft being available on every platform. It seems any other established game (as in games that were announced/released multi platform before a dev was acquired) Microsoft is continuing to support the games on those platforms. I guess we just have to wait and see what happens here.

Thanks Heyadol. That's interesting if so. Early 2022.

For the Blade game, 3rd person single player as they said, it would be cool if you have to investigate where the vampires are hiding out.
During the day, you'd investigate, and then at night, when the vampire emerge to visit the clubs, stalk victims and build their storage of blood banks, Blade would infiltrate their locations one by one.

In the first movie, Blade had to check a person's neck to see if they were a vampire or not. In Blade Trinity, he was fooled by a guy posing as a vampire as a set up to frame Blade, which was interesting. Blade 2, he was hunting the Reapers/Strain Strigoi vampires like Nomak.

In other words, Blade wouldn't have any special "Sight" button to see who was a vampire or not. He'd have to judge them by their actions, time of day/night, and so on.

Hopefully the game takes that into account and it's not only set at night time. Plus some vampires might become daywalkers like Blade.

Blade's musclecar to get around the city would be welcome.
