Zero need for anything over 4k at home.
Most studios can't even give us high quality Blu-ray transfers. We are still dealing with DNR'd transfers in UHD for Pete's sake.

This. Even a good blu-ray looks damned good at home with the right gear. 4K? Perfectly good enough. Despite my love for physical media, there is NO way Im rebuying movies and shows again in yet another format. 8K? Yeah, no.

Im good with 4K being the last physical disc format.
