The only NFL game I ever attented was in Miami to see the Doplhins vs Bills. Kinda funny I had to fly 2,000 miles south to see a team I can drive to within an hour. LOL

I've been to 2 NFL games, both of which were the Patriots at the Minnesota Vikings. The first game was in 1997 and the Patriots lost, and the last one was in 2006 and the Patriots won. Next year I'm going to go to the Patriots-Bears game at Soldier Field, and I'd like to take a trip to Boston one of these years and see a home game.

If you want to tailgate i suggest you take it little easy the night before, I don't know how others do it but to the 5 patriots game I have been to @ 1 we get to the stadium around 8am and start cooking and drinking lots lots LOTS of beers. And as for food is up to you really, I have seen all diffrent types of foods while tailgating. From ribs, to rosted turkey, to chili, burgers, soups, deli sandwhiches, pies, jello shots ( personal favorite )

but i've sat in the most hallowed of stadiums....Lambeau Field!!

what i meant was actually being there in the stands vs. watching it on tv, there's no comparison!!

so i've done some research and seems like a fun experience. i don't have a portable grill and not sure if my buddy does. i think we'd be out of place as my buddy is a rams fan and i am a cowboys fan, so obviously i have zero seahawks gear lol

may skip the whole tailgating thing unfortunately =( well...i guess we could pick up some food and slam beers before the game

Make sure to drink plenty of beer. And enjoy! Football games are fun! much better than going to a baseball game but not as much fun as a basketball game.

Nothing matches a football game. Every game is huge. I love college basketball games but they don't compare to the all day event a football game is. I prefer college football games, from tailgating at 6 in the morning to closing the bars at 2 am, but NFL games are great too.

Baseball games make me sleepy, and if it wasn't hot I'd most likely sleep during the game. I have yet been to a NBA game and I'd like to go someday.

If you make it an all day event and tailgate properly then yeah, a football games rules. But just going to a game a basketball game would be more fun.

It's a shame that all the college football games are dry now.

yes the tailgating makes it better than just going to a basketball game but i was just refering to the game itself

I'd still choose a football game because each game is so huge. If you lose a basketball game it isn't a huge deal but if you lose a football game it could cost you the division (and in college football a shot at a national title).

Agreed. I don't care about college football, but every game counts! I hate the fact NBA plays 82 games and baseball plays over 100 games. A few losses in football can cost you the entire season you worked hard for.

Also football would sell out pretty much every game since it's once a week.

I think you will find some friendly seahawk fans willing to sell some grub and maybe a few beers. Just get there a little early, as I'm sure they have a lot to see as it is a newer stadium. The Seattle fans are a good group from the few i have met at games, you should have a good time.

I don't know about the tailgating tradition in Seattle, but it's practically compulsory here in Kansas City. We go at least a few hours before game time and set up the grill. Hot dogs, polish/brats, steaks or burgers and other munchies (i.e. chips, veggies) go well with iced cans of beer. Play catch with a football or frisbee, listen to music and just have a good time. (Park close to a port-a-potty.) The problem with this is you probably don't want to pack a grill and a cooler.
