So it's pretty much moving from Google Play to YouTube. Nothing surprising.

Not 100% dead. Just the website version of Google Play. You'll still be able to use the Google TV app and make purchases thru it. All movies and shows are getting ported over to YouTube, which, I'll be honest, gonna hate it. YouTube should've been left for amateur video producers and brain-dead influencers. It will be harder to find movies and shows on sale though. Those were easier to find thru the website.

Same here. Hate YouTube for digital movies. I hope they make a new website for digital movies, ideally over here: https://tv.google/

I still have a Google Play balance of $95 from gift cards I'd gotten over the last couple Christmases. Will I still be able to use that once Movies & TV is moved over to Youtube?

Your Google balance can be used with any Google service including YouTube transactions.

Any tips?:

My owned TV shows show up on youtube in my TV collection, but when I actualy go into them, it does not recognize I own them, wants to pay for seasons/individual episodes.

On my TV app (Sony, accessing my GP collection from my gmail log-in), only 3 of my TV shows display in my owned TV section. I can actually play those, but nothing else shows up. When I search for TV items (in Sony's system I guess), not even those 3 TV items that do show for me can be found, let alone anything not displaying as it should.

For example, Supergirl season 1 shows up in GP, I can play it on my laptop in crap quality. It shows in my collection in youtube, but all episodes locked, it does not show up at all in the TV app.

12 Monkeys season 1, shows in my collection in youtube, but all episodes locked, it DOES show up in the TV app (one of the 3) and I can watch no problem.

I had a few movies in the same case, not showing up in youtube, BUT if I put them in a watchlist, they DO show up in that feature in youtube, and I can watch them. But I can't find any way to make that work for TV episodes. In fact, I can no longer find anywhere to do it for movies.

I have the same issue. I bought a season of a tv show and I can play it on Google Movies website, but on YT I have to buy it again. Google customer service won't help unless you have an order ID. ****ing useless.

Is it me or has the GP Movies and TV site been going down? All I get when searching is page not found. If I click a link that goes straight to a movie, it will work, but then if I search from that page, I get the page not found error again.

I'm wondering if Google is planning an entire shut down of movies and TV like they did with their music?
