I felt the first one was good. It was fun, and the visuals were awesome.

The second I thought was terrible. It felt like the animation was far less smooth, making the whole experience unpleasant.

It also felt like EVERYONE was a Spider-man, which made things terribly boring. At least in the first movie, it was a handful of Spider-man variants dealing with a variety of other characters.

Shadow of a Doubt is so great.

Hitchcock's filmography is surprisingly deep. He was also best when working in a couple of small boxes. Something like I, Confess was simply the wrong material for him, and it suffers for that disconnect.

I also loved the first Spiderverse but really disliked the second. It was a frenetic, headache inducing overkill that in my opinion devolved into nonsense where I didn't care about any of it. And yes I'm very aware I'm in the minority.

They're great.

But both TMNT Mutant Mayhem and Puss in Boots Last Wish are damn near perfection and do the new art style better than the SpiderVerse films.

You see, I've heard that. IGN have just run an article saying the same thing. I read Roger Ebert's review of the film where he praised the characters and dialogue and said he wished it ran for hours, as these were intelligent characters. I understand that this type of film and dialogue broke the mould of what were probably by and large, conventional and formulaic films. However, I just found the film a bore. I'm going to be honest too, and say that when the 'N' word is used even by black people over and over - no I don't find it 'cool'. Especially with Tarantino's writing.

I guess I was just curious as to why Tarantino is liked by many and his films praised, especially the zeitgeist that was Pulp Fiction. Aside from the unusual dialogue and great repurposed music, I don't see it.

Tarantino is a wonderful director too. He does tension especially well. See the apartment scene in Pulp Fiction, the opening of Inglorious Basterds or the ranch scene in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.

The town sherrif will go out on a boat to try to kill it and get whisked off somewhere over the rainbow where he will meet three little people who will help him find the one ring that will help him get back home. It will be his best "homage" of all-time.
