It's been a long time since I watched it, but I recall seeing it when it first aired and then picked it up on DVD on release. I should probably check the discs again to make sure they still work.

The Night Flier

What am I missing? Given Kino's comments on Storm of the Century, it's safe to assume that all but the Night Flier are held up for the same reasons. The Night Flier of course is a financial matter thanks to Rubinstein.

I assume Lionsgate still maintains control of the "Sometimes they Come Back" sequels as well correct? That would explain their absense from Blu Ray also.

Yes! Yes! Yes! The Shining! It's about time Stephen King's own version is finally going to be a blu-ray release. It's was a very personal project for him. I had forgotten Shout still has a deal with WAC.

I hope they do a good job with this! They should have good elements to work with.

Holy crap I’m so excited for The Shining… wasn’t it edited on video? I believe that’s the case, therefore I thought there was ZERO chance of it ever getting a proper HD upgrade, especially after Kino shot down the possibility of Storm of the Century getting a proper Blu-ray release (due to the massive costs involved in basically putting the entire miniseries through post-production all over again).

^^Yeah, I hope some label will be able to give Storm of the Century (1999) a blu-ray release. Kino has been holding on to it for too long. Do they even have the blu-ray rights?

Bag of Bones and Big Driver have been released outside the US but there's no US release as far as I know.

I think it has one more title than February releases. Personally I hope we hear about some Shout Factory Website exclusives tomorrow. Next month is already a year without any physical Toku releases from Shout. Discotek is going to leave them in the dust at the current rate
